2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Twenty-Three Michigan

Martin Truex Jr won his 15th stage of the season.

Caution on lap 140 of 200 as Kasey Kahne slammed the outside wall and Daniel Suarez popped the inside wall. That was an ugly hit into the wall, then Daniel lifted Kasey’s rear wheels off the ground as he smashed into Kasey then spun down into the inside wall, twice. 2017 NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Twenty-One Mid-Ohio

Sam Hornish and Eliott Sadler leads the field to green. Andy Lally is in the field.

Justin Allgaier spins in an incident with Matt Tifft.

Caution is out for fluid laid down by Cole Custer on lap 2.

2017 NASCAR Camping Word Truck Series Race Thirteen Michigan

Boy did Cody Coughlin hit that wall hard on that restart. They didn’t seem to be going that fast, but his truck bounced off the wall back onto the track.

Restarting on lap 72 of 100.

Martin Truex Jr wins

Boring, boring, boring race.

Congrats to Daniel Suarez on his 3rd place finish and to Clint “Drunk Daddy” Bowyer on his 5th place finish as well as to Ryan ‘Son’ Blaney who finished 8th. Continue reading “2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Twenty-Two Watkins Glen”

This week’s pit stall selection order was determined by last week’s qualifying order as the Cup series qualifies and races on the same day for the first time in 45 years according to Rick Allen. Too much babbling on tv right now, time to turn on MRN. You know I don’t know if its the speed, or tone of the talk on tv that results in the babbling sensation or a combination of both. Of course, radio has a reason to speak everything they see. Television doesn’t. The majority of the audience can see what’s happening on tv, so everything little thing should not get narrated. The major action, sure, but the announcers should bring us what we can’t see sometimes – like what’s going on inside the car or inside the driver’s head – instead of stating the obvious. Most of the MRN guys have broadcast voices – on-air vocal presentations – that lend an air of authority, veracity, and professionalism to their utterings. They sound like grown men, adults, who have not spent the morning chasing 5-hour Energy with Monster, Red Bull and expresso.
