William Byron (24) loses it underneath, then into Martin Truex Jr (78) sending both for a spin on lap 15 of 200.

Stage 1 ends with Kevin ‘Happy/KHarv’ Harvick (4) in front.

Restarting on lap 66 of 200 with Jimmie Johnson (48) in the lead after a two tire stop.

Kyle ‘KyBu’ Busch (18) takes over the lead before the completion of lap 66 of 200.

Ryan Newman (31) has a tire issue on lap 75 of 200 sending him into a spin.

Jimmie is back in the race lead since he didn’t pit again.

KyBu, KHarv, Denny Hamlin (11), Ryan Blaney (12) and Alex Bowman (88) pitted for fuel front the front of the field.

Only 37 drivers in today’s field. MRN is making a big deal about a sell-out in both the grandstands and campgrounds. Well at least someone can get a full house since NASCAR can’t manage a full field anymore. Good on Watkins Glen. I wonder how many tickets constitute a full house. So that’s about 33,000 people. Partly cloudy skies in Watkins Glen. There seem to be an unseemly number of Cup drivers in this race. Joey ‘Squinty Douchey’ Logano has the pole. His Penske teammate Brad ‘It’ Keselowski has outside pole. A.J. ‘Ding Dong’ Allmendinger is in the field as are Aric ‘Afterburner’ Almirola, and Austin ‘Frankenstein’ Dillon, ‘Kutey’ Kyle Larson. Congrats to Elliott Sadler (1) on winning the pole at Pocono. The skies were cloudy and threatening during qualifying, but they managed to squeeze it in with happy results.
