2022 NASCAR Cup Series Race Twelve Darlington

The Darlington Xfinity Series race provided a couple dozen interesting laps. I was travelling on Mother’s Day and unable to find a radio station playing the race until MRN announced the winner of the event. Since the Darlington races have been boring recently and the pole sitter won the race I haven’t rushed to watch it.

I saw Joey Logano’s (22) bump and run on William ‘WilliB’ Byron (24). I saw ‘WilliB’ running Logano to the wall prior to the bump and run. I didn’t have an issue with Logano’s move before seeing what ‘WilliB’ did to him earlier in the event. After seeing the Byron move I felt Logano’s response was tame and he would’ve been justified in doing a lot more.

Someone should’ve made Clint Bowyer aware of the fact Richard ‘The King’ Petty knows a bit about racing and a bit about these cars since he’s a former series champion, won more races than anyone, and owns a team with multiple cars on the track. Bowyer spent entirely too much time ‘correcting’ The King in the booth. The day Clint Bowyer knows more than Richard ‘The King’ Petty about NASCAR is the day the sport should either close the doors or change the name, because it clearly won’t be recognizable as the sport dominated by the Pettys.
