2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Twenty-Four Bristol

The crowd seemed a bit thin for the race. It was a busy race, but not very exciting.

The TV broadast mostly had to focus on the battles behind the lead because there were so few for the lead.

Kurt Busch wins.

“We had social media buzz between fans and drivers’ wives”. Seriously. That is an element of a competitive race? Wendy Venturini really? I had an issue when you started out saying you felt the race was competitive based on the stats that Mark Garrow read about the number of leaders and laps led. I wondered why that mattered more than what you saw of the race, but to include social media was ludicrous to me. Wendy is one of my favorite pit reporters. I’m very disappointed in those statements. I’m very, very glad Wendy is back from her accident.
