2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Twenty-One Pocono

Today is Jimmie Johnson’s 600th career start. The sun is currently shining in Long Pond Pennsylvania. Jimmie (48) qualified 15th and is one of several drivers that will start from the back of the field after failing post-qualifying inspection including pole winner Kevin Harvick (4), outside pole Kyle Busch (18) and Kyle Larson (42). 13 cars failed inspection including Joey Logano (22), Clint Bowyer (14), Ryan Blaney (12), Aric Almirola (10), Paul Menard (21), Austin Dillon (3), William Byron (24), Darrell Wallace Jr. (43) and Kasey Kahne (95). Starting positions for the cars failing inspection were determined by car owner points. pole. Continue reading “2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Twenty-One Pocono”

Pole winner Austin Cindric will lead the field to the green flag. The stages are 60-60-130 for this race. Yesterday some of the crewman ended up in the infield care center due to heat issues. 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Race Nine Iowa

Harrison Burton captured the pole.

Todd Gilliland brought out cautions one and four.

Caution two was somebody brushing the wall and slowing – I’ve forgotten whom.

Caution three was the stage end.

On lap 141 Crafton got turned around by John Hunter Nemecheck and won’t be able to continue and tagged Stewart Friesen who was able to continue. Ben Rhodes was also involved in that incident and was able to continue. Crafton was towed to the garage.

Crafton said he had contact with the 52 of Stewart Friesen and blew a left front tire.

Brett Moffitt from Grimes, Iowa wins.
