2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Twenty-Two Watkins Glen

Beautiful weather. Boring race. With 15 to go (lap 75 of 90) it has been a BORING race!

Like last week, its turning into a fuel mileage race. Sigh. While Jeff Burton and Stevie Letarte seem to be extraordinarily excited about what might happen in this race, as a person watching it, I’m just waiting for the final lap to conclude. 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Twenty-One Pocono

Congrats to Kyle Busch on his Truck Series in in Pocono Friday night. Congrats to Ryan Blaney on his Xfinity Series win at Iowa last night. Lots of hot-heads after the Xfinity race. Kids! The race had its moments though. It was much more fun to watch than usual. On an unrelated note, R.I.P. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. RP suffered cardiac arrest on Friday. You will be missed. Ben Kennedy ended up on the wall and damaged the catch-fence. He was shaken up, but okay after the race. It was an ugly wreck. The Xfinity race last night was mostly boring. I’m not expecting much from tonight, but maybe I’ll be surprised. We’ll see. Continue reading “2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Eighteen Kentucky”

2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Seventeen Daytona

The NBC coverage is underway and my mute button is getting a workout. Some of the folks I was relieved to not see have turned up – like Rutledge Wood and Dale Jarrett. Sigh. I caught a few minutes of the Cup practice. Rick Allen, Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton didn’t require the mute button. The Xfinity practice has been a different story so far. Dave Burns, Petty Kyle and Dale Jarrett. Seriously? Yuck! There’s a girl, Kelli, on doing interviews who seems to be doing a good job. I hope she’s a bright spot. It’s early in my watching of the coverage though, so we’ll see how the weekend progresses. Continue reading “2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Seventeen Daytona”
