Aric Almirola is up and walking. His doctors say he will be out 8 to 12 weeks and if he injures that again before it is healed he will be paralyzed from the belly-button down, so he’s taking his recovery very seriously since he is a husband and the father of two small children. Get well Afterburner. I’m glad he’s doing as well as he is and that he has hope of a full recovery. Continue reading “2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series All-Star Race Charlotte”
2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Ten Talladega
Dale Earnhardt Jr’s final Spring Talladega race as a full-time Cup driver is a blue sky beauty. Temperatures will be in the 70s at race time according to Myers – warmer there than here in the Atlanta metro area apparently. Jr will start the race on outside pole beside Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Chris Myers was on the desk with ‘Big Daddy’ Jeff Gordon and ‘DW’ Darrell Waltrip. Hooray!!! I finally got to see most of the pre-race show for a change. Noah Gragson has outside pole. It appears Noah beat Dalton Sargent to the start-finish line. Continue reading “2017 ARCA Series Race Four Talladega”
2017 NASCAR Xfinity Cup Series Race Nine Talladega
Congrats to Blake Koch on his first Xfinity series pole. He was last on the track and fastest on the track – a one car team pushing past the JR Motorsports entry.
The sun is shining in Talladega today. Yesterday practices and the ARCA race were cut short and postponed due to rain. The cold front has finally moved away enough to leave blue skies. Continue reading “2017 NASCAR Xfinity Cup Series Race Nine Talladega”
2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Nine Richmond
Squinty Douchey wins a boring race. I was amused listening to the radio broadcast while watching the race. They were so excited on the radio. I said to Pooh I wished I was watching the race they were. The one I watched wasn’t nearly as exciting – busy, but not exciting. The news of the week is the announcement that Dale Earnhardt Jr will retire at the end of 2017. Continue reading “2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Race Nine Richmond”
