2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Twenty-Two Watkins Glen

Ty ‘LittleJoe’ Gibbs (54) spins William ‘WillyB’ Byron (17) out from the lead. Kyle Larson (88) takes over the lead.

WillyB spins Ty Gibbs a bit later in retaliation.

Kyle Larson (88) wins.

WillyB and LittleJoe have a chat on pit road.

Alex Hayden of MRN said drivers lined up to have a word with Ty Gibbs while William Byron was talking to him. Noah Gragson stepped up and had a word when WillyB was finished, then Riley Herbst, who had been waiting patiently, had a word when Gragson finished. The television broadcast didn’t show any of that.

It wasn’t the worst race, but it wasn’t particularly interesting either. Once again I’m not sure if its a bad television broadcast, or if it was actually a boring race. It was predictable.

IndyCar from St Louis (World Wide Technology Speedway) immediately followed the NASCAR broadcast. Will Power is now tied with Mario Andretti for poles in the series. The skies are cloudy, though the sun is still shining on parts of the track.

Next Race: Daytona
