2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Two Fontana Day One

The snow – yes, snow – has stopped in Fontana so the jet dryers are trying to dry the track for the Xfinity series race. This is the final Xfinity series race on the current 2 mile track configuration. Practice and qualifying were cancelled due to the weather. It rained heavily prior to the snowfall. Austin Hill (21) will start on the pole due to the cancellation of qualifying. 38 cars will take the green flag. the stages for today’s race are 35-35-80 laps.

MRN reports the air temperature is 40 degrees though it feels like it is in the 30s. They also mentioned there are clouds in view, sot they will be keeping an eye on the weather. Looking at pit road prior to the pace laps the skies are dark.

the cars are under parade laps. MRN is reporting there’s a light rain falling. MRN reports NASCAR is bringing the cars back down pit road and turning them off. The track is wet again.

The rain turned into snow and the track was lost. The race has been postponed to Sunday.
