Homestead always has some of the most beautiful skies at dusk. I still want to see those skies in person. Now that the race has been moved to earlier in the season the timing doesn’t quite work out. The race itself has a so-so reputation with me over the past several years, but the opportunity to be near the beach and enjoying a beautiful sunset may be worth sitting through some less-than-thrilling racing.
The race seems to have action throughout the field. Unfortunately the television broadcast is usually either showing track surface or something irrelevant so a viewer would only know there’s racing worth watching by listening to the MRN broadcast.
MRN’s Steve ‘Postie/Postman’ Post believes there will be another caution because the cars are sliding on the track. Several cars have bounced off the wall and have pitted without bringing out caution.
Josh Berry (8) passes AJ Allmendinger (16) on lap 182 of 200.

Nick Sanchez’s (48) right front of the car is on fire as he stops on pit road.
Noah Gragson (9) about about nine seconds ahead of second position prior to the caution.
MRN reports Josh Berry’s (8) team took extra time working on the nose damage on his car. He came into the pits in second and left in ninth.
Restarting on lap 195 of 200 with Noah Gragson (9) and AJ Allmendinger (16) up front followed by Ty ‘LittleJoe’ Gibbs (54) and Daniel Hemric (11). Allmendinger and Hemric are Kaulig teammates.

Allmendinger wrests second from Gibbs and chases Noah for the lead.
Noah Gragson (9) holds on to win.
Noah Gragson (9) joins teammate Josh Berry (8) in the final four for the championship.
“We just kicked their ass baby! Come on! Let’s go!” Noah’s first words on his tv interview.
Noah starts out really excited then says he’s worn out and starts looking ill. He leans against the car and pours water on his head. Someone came over and poured water into his suit.
Noah is climbing the fence with his team and saluting the fans. He climbs down the fence and sits on the outside wall saying he needs some water.
Gragson said he “kicked their asses today same as the last three races here” in his radio interview. He said, “To have dominated the races for the last three years and not be able to bring home a trophy has sucked.”
“We laid it to it and we fucking got after it.” More of Noah’s radio interview. MRN’s Alex Hayden apologized for the language.
Someone needs to train Noah to speak without profanity in general, so he doesn’t have to try to watch what he says on television and the radio. He fails to do so when tired or excited or angry. He should remove the task by eliminating it from his vocabulary until it before second nature to say something appropriate when a microphone is placed in front of him.
The race was surprisingly interesting at times. The tires would intermittently fail resulting in the shuffling of the running order. For a period of time the leader was more than eight seconds ahead of second place in the final stage. That section ramped up the anticipation for what would occur to break things up. Eventually a spin brought out a caution which led to a five lap race to the finish that included strategic moves by the folks at the front of the field. I would say the race was exciting and competitive at times and, based on the radio broadcast, interesting and eventful at others. The television broadcast did an awful job or televising the on-track action during the third stage. There was intensity from some drivers – about 20 percent of the field. The race was not particularly memorable overall. Noah Gragson’s interviews are becoming less and less family friendly. On television he’s all about ass and balls. On radio he’s dropping f-bombs. NASCAR used to police
that sort of thing.
