Sprint Cup qualifying was rained out so Aric Afterburner got the pole since he was the fastest car in practice. Jeff Burton is on outside pole.<\/p>\n

Truck race was orderly overall as Matt Crafton said his strategy was to ride around until the last 20 laps then go racing and that’s pretty much what happened. There were a few wrecks, including a 12-truck crash on the last lap that took out most of the front of the field. Johnny Sauter emerged victorious.<\/p>\n

Jimmie Johnson said, before the race, the Chasers were going to try to make moves the first four or five laps after a pit stop, then run single file and log laps until 50 to go or so.<\/p>\n

That’s pretty much what happened. Unfortunately for him and others with that strategy Austin Dillon wrecked on the white flag lap bringing out the caution and ending the race. So Jamie McMurray, who was leading after the last round of pit stops won the race.<\/p>\n

Casey Mears literally drove underneath the 14 driven by Frankenstein (Austin Dillon) who’d gotten lose and was spinning and sliding.<\/p>\n

Jimmie, who led the most laps, takes over the points lead by four points.

  9. The 2014 Nationwide Series Schedule is released<\/a>. It looks a lot like the 2013 schedule with a few races moving in line with the 2014 Sprint Cup races.<\/li>\n
