Caution on lap 76 of 300 for a crash involving Sheldon Creed (00) and Brennan Poole (44). Creed got out of the car and it rolled down the track. Dean Thompson (26) tapped Creed in the rear and sent Sheldon into a spin. Creed ended up sitting near the outside wall and facing the inside wall. Poole braked to try to avoid Creed, the back-end came around causing Brennan to slide into him – at speed, sideways – exiting the turn. The red flag has been displayed. The caution is out at 1751.<\/p>\n

I started out watching the race. The constant camera shots from inside the car incited me to check out coverage of The Masters. It was much more interesting and visually stimulating and exciting. After The Masters coverage ended I turned to the race and saw a driver driving and eventually came to realize the viewer was stuck watching a burnout from inside the car. Totally obtuse. The driver spends time and energy doing something visually entertaining and the television broadcast chooses to show something completely staid and boring – a driver driving. I occasionally switched back to the race during commercial breaks but saw the hoods of cars and the track surface and the wall. Since there was nothing to indicate good racing was occurring I turned back to the third round of the golf tournament. Race coverage should easily be visually more exciting than a golf tournament. The fact I couldn’t catch something that would prompt me to continue watching the Bristol Xfinity event indicates the television product is not where it should be.<\/p>\n
