Boring and dumb.

MRN reports the crew chiefs are telling their drivers to just ride around and see how the car performs in the second half of a run. So there’s not much happening.

On lap 27 of 200 Cole Custer (00) has chased down leader Chandler Smith (81) and is trying to get the lead. The stage ends at lap 45.

Cole Custer (00) gets the lead on lap 31 of 200.

With six laps left in the stage they’re starting to try to race throughout the field according to MRN.

Sammy Smith (8) pits on lap 41 of 200 under green after a visit with the outside wall according to MRN.

Aric Almirola (20) takes the lead for a turn then Custer (00) takes it back. They come across the line three-wide for first with Austin Hill (21) on the bottom, Custer in the middle and Almirola on the outside.

Austin Hill (21) holds off Aric Almirola (20) for the stage one win.

Restarting on lap 52 of 200 with Austin Hill (21), Aric ‘Afterburner’ Almirola (20), Cole Custer (00) and Sheldon Creed (18) up front. Hill gets the early lead.

On lap 67 of 200 Riley Herbst (98) pits under green for four tires and fuel after a visit with the wall.

They are showing the view out of a car’s right window that is near the wall, but far enough away that a couple of cars drive by. I have no idea why they are showing the wall and something dangling in front of the camera and the sides of passing cars – in other words nothing interesting and they’re just holding the shot.

MRN did a nice segment talking about Ryan Sieg (28) and why he is in the 28 car instead of the 39 car. They noted that it is a family team. The 28 car was lower in the rankings than the 39 car and Ryan switched to the car to try to get it higher in the standings for the Owner’s championship.

On lap 84 of 200 Leland Honeyman (42) heads to pit road under green after walloping the outside wall according to MRN.

Caution on lap 86 of 200 for Nick Leitz (92) spinning. He then lost the right front tire after the slide and it blew out the right front quarter panel.

MRN reports Sammy Smith (8) has pit while pit road is closed.

Austin Hill (21) wins stage two under caution.

Restarting on lap 95 of 200 with Austin Hill (21), Cole Custer (00), Afterburner (20), AJ Allmendinger (16), Jesse Love (2), and Ryan Sieg (28) at the head of the field. Hill and Custer are door-to-door trading the lead back and forth for a couple of laps. Custer gets the lead on lap 97 of 200.

Austin Hill (21) regained the lead from Cole Custer (00) on lap 114 of 200.

Again with the strap flapping in front of the right-side window with the wall and the side of a car in view. Totally useless television on lap 115 of 200. They might as well show video from another event, because they’re certainly not showing the Xfinity Series Race.

Caution on lap 121 of 200 for a spin by Ryan Truex (26) due to Josh Williams (11) losing a right front tire and turning into Truex sending him around.

Restarting on lap 127 of 200 with Austin Hill (21), Jesse Love (2), Cole Custer (00), Aric Almirola (20), Ryan Sieg (39), Sheldon Creed (18), Chandler Smith (81), Justin Allgaier (7) up front. Austin Hill gets the early lead. Cole Custer (00) takes the lead by the end of lap 127 of 200.

On lap 138 of 200 MRN reports that Dylan Lupton (15) is slow on the banking after hitting the wall. Lupton keeps it rolling and heads to pit road.

On lap 146 of 200 William Sawalich (19) pits smoking. He lost a front right tire. The crew changes both front tires.

On lap 150 of 200 Now we’re seeing the bars and right floorboard of a car and the wall passing outside the window. It is astounding the ludicrous junk they show. That was followed by a crew member sweeping his pit box.

On lap 158 of 200 green flag pit stops are underway.

On lap 162 of 200 the jack got stuck under Chandler Smith’s car during his green flag stop. They had to bring out the backup jack to lift the car to get the primary jack out.

On lap 188 of 200 Austin Hill (21) takes the lead from Cole Custer (00).

Brandon Jones (9) pits on lap 191 of 200 under green.

Austin Hill (21) cruises to the win 3.357 seconds ahead of second place Cole Custer (00).

MRN’s Steve ‘Postman’ Post says Austin Hill is crying in the car. He says Hill says he’s never cried in the car before.

That was awful. The radio broadcast started out as good as the Truck series broadcast. As the event went on and on and nothing much happened, MRN did the best they could with the lack of racing action. They came up with scenarios that might generate interest, but none of the scenarios came to pass. There was a bit of racing for the stage wins, but in the third stage there was little to no excitement, proof that a pass for the lead does not equal exciting racing action. The television broadcast was worst than the truck race with them spending long periods showing the dumbest camera shot of a strap dangling beside the right window and the wall passing. They kept showing that shot which was a total waste of broadcast time as it did nothing but show the dangling strap and the wall – nothing of interest to anyone tuning in to watch a race.

Get caught up on the latest racing news.

Motorsport News:

McLaren face title blow as Norris review rejected.

Jeremy Bullins no longer crew chief at Wood Brothers UPDATE.

FIA rejects McLaren request to review Norris penalty.

Reddick paces Miami practice as Logano, Bell encounter issues.

COURT DOCS: 23XI Racing And Front Row Motorsports Call NASCAR ‘Monopolistic Bully’
