On lap 11 of 147 Cup driver Joey Logano (15) slams the outside wall. He heads smoking to pit road. MRN reports Cup driver Ross Chastain (92) may have contributed to Logano tagging the wall.<\/p>\n

Riley Herbst (98) visits the wall on lap 13 of 147. He heads smoking to pit road with flat right tires.<\/p>\n

On lap 15 of 147 Anthony ‘FastPasta’ Alfredo (5) tackles the wall and heads to pit road.<\/p>\n

MRN reports on lap 15 of 147 “it’s an engine issue for Joey Logano (15)”.<\/p>\n

The green flag stays out throughout all of those wall slams.<\/p>\n

On lap 24 of 147 MRN reports Joey Logano (15) is out of the race with an engine failure.<\/p>\n

On lap 27 of 147 Sam Mayer (1) passes CBell (20) for the lead.<\/p>\n

On lap 38 of 147 MRN reports smoke coming off the left rear corner of Mayer’s car. He suddenly slowed from the lead. He tagged the wall and the car seemed to be trying to spin before he finally went around. Mayer spins on lap 39 of 147. The race stays green.<\/p>\n

Christopher ‘CBell’ Bell (20) wins stage one with a very loose car; holding off Austin ‘The Other Big Country’ Hill (21). The caution flag for Brandon Jones is displayed as they reach turn four of the final lap of the stage.<\/p>\n

Cup driver Chase Elliott (17) is battling Cup driver Noah Gragson (30) for twelfth position on lap 59 of 147.<\/p>\n

On lap 65 of 147 Chad Finchum (14) heads to pit road under green.<\/p>\n

Sheldon Creed (18) passes CBell (20) for the lead on lap 77 of 147.<\/p>\n

NASCAR digital says the pass was due to CBell getting into lap car Greg Van Alst (07) and losing speed.<\/p>\n

Sheldon Creed (18) holds off CBell to win stage two. His first stage win of the season.<\/p>\n

So far the race has been busy, but mediocre. I have appreciated NASCAR keeping them under the green flag for most of the incidents that have occurred.<\/p>\n

Restarting on lap 96 of 147 with Creed (18) and Bell (20) at the head of the field again.<\/p>\n

On lap 99 of 147 MRN’s Alan Cavana reports Sammy Smith’s (8) cool suit isn’t working, so the water circulating around his body is the same as the temperature in the car – around 130 degrees.<\/p>\n

Leader CBell (20) is more than two seconds ahead of Austin Hill (21).<\/p>\n

On lap 124 of 147 Christopher Bell (20) continues to lead by more than two seconds. He has had a short-run car for the majority of the race, so that big lead may be deceptive.<\/p>\n

The television broadcast is extremely bored and the shots are getting stupider and stupider.<\/p>\n

Sheldon Creed (18) is less than a second behind CBell (20) on lap 135 of 147.<\/p>\n

On lap 141 of 147 AJ Allmendinger and Cole Custer get together and Allmendinger (16) gets a flat right front. The race stays green. Dinger slams the outside wall.<\/p>\n

Congrats to Chase Elliott (17) finishing fourth. Elliott said, “The car is fine. The car is totally fine. Somebody who knew what they were doing would’ve won”.<\/p>\n

MRN’s Steve ‘Postie\/Postman’ Post says Sammy Smith (8) is getting medical attention after getting overheated due to his cool-suit failure.<\/p>\n

In his tv interview Sammy Smith (8) apologised for sitting down during the interview and added “we had a cool suit failure”. He looks whipped. Smith is 20 years old (since June).<\/p>\n

That was a really good race for Darlington which has been excruciatingly boring the past few years. I am pleased with the finish, though bummed for another loss for Sheldon Creed (20).<\/p>\n
