The Xfinity series is trading windy Atlanta for windier Las Vegas. NASCAR digital is reporting 32 mph sustained winds with gusts to 55 mph. Their reports exceed the official weather report.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 7 of 200.<\/p>\n

Chandler Smith (81) easily claims stage one leading all 45 laps.<\/p>\n

Restarting on lap 53 of 200 with Austin Hill (21) and Riley Herbst (98) on the front row.<\/p>\n

With 8 laps to go in the stage PRN’s Doug Rice said, between turn announcers calls, “We’re not trying to hype this up bigger than it is, Chandler Smith really was gaining ground on John Hunter Nemecheck”. Self-awareness is good. I’m just not sure you should call attention to your network announcer’s bad habits (hyping events bigger than they are) on-air.<\/p>\n

Stage two ends with Chandler Smith (81) passing John Hunter ‘JHN’ Nemechek (20) in turn four and holding on to the lead.<\/p>\n

Restarting on lap 95 of 200 with Chandler and JHN up front.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 121 of 200 for a stall at the end of pit road by Parker Retzlaff (31).<\/p>\n

Restarting on lap 128 of 200 with the same two on the front row.<\/p>\n

As far as the television broadcast, I’m basically employing the ‘if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all’, so I’m not saying anything. For the record FS1’s Adam Alexander is in the booth with Joey Logano and Austin ‘MyDaddyIsAPenskeExecutiveSoIHaveTheBestOfEverything\/NepoBaby’ Cindric.<\/p>\n

PRN has resorted to spending time talking about a battle for 13th between Hailie Deegan (15) and Jeb Burton (27). They said the top seven has pretty much been the top seven all day, other than Justin Allgaier (7) driving from the back of the field up to seventh, the rest have pretty much been in the same positions all day. PRN is that bored. TV has been bored since the single digit laps of the event. This has been a waste of time.<\/p>\n

With 52 laps to go PRN reports Chandler Smith (81) is dropping back due to the air pressure adjustments on the last pit stop causing the car to ‘not feel right’.<\/p>\n

PRN is detailing the multiple penalty green flag stop of Dawson Cram (4) on lap 162 of 200. He got a penalty on the stop and was told to serve a pass-thru penalty. He stopped in his box on the pass-thru, which isn’t allowed, and was assessed a pass-thru penalty for that transgression. He’s now eight laps down.<\/p>\n

On lap 166 of 200 the lead cars are making green-flag pit stops.<\/p>\n

Josh Williams (11) in his new full-time Kaulig Racing ride is leading laps since he hasn’t made a green flag pit stop.<\/p>\n

PRN says, on lap 187 of 200, that barring a caution JHN will catch and pass Josh Williams for the lead and no one is close enough to catch JHN without a caution. In other words, this isn’t a race.<\/p>\n

Josh Williams (11) has to pit from the lead on lap 189 of 200.<\/p>\n

So JHN (20) inherits the lead from Josh Williams. JHN is 4.613 seconds ahead of second place on lap 191 of 200.<\/p>\n

On lap 194 of 200 PRN is excitedly calling the battle for second place between pole-sitter Cole Custer (00) and stage Chandler Smith (81).<\/p>\n

JHN is almost five seconds ahead of second place on lap 198 of 200.<\/p>\n

John Hunter ‘JHN’ Nemechek (20) finally puts an end to this snooze-fest. He finishes 4.36 seconds ahead of the second place car.<\/p>\n

That was a poor-excuse for a race; not worth watching.<\/p>\n
