I’m kinda looking forward to that. I was very much looking forward to it, until I saw the crap broadcast for the Clash. Maybe the television broadcast – if there is one – will simply show the race for the Mexico series and leave the gimmick shots behind.

The race is on FS2. The NASCAR Mexico series races have a time limit, sixty minutes, and caution laps count.

Abraham Calderón started on the front row and has led 18 of 21 laps so far.

Cup driver Daniel Suarez is competing in the race. He did not make the Clash on speed.

Caution on lap 62 of 150 for a spin by Rubén Rovelo (28).

Abraham Calderón (2) continues to lead.

I’m finding it difficult to read the lap count. NASCAR doesn’t appear to provide a lap-by-lap or live leaderboard for the NASCAR Mexico series.

Regina Sirvent was the fan vote winner to get into the event.

Ruben Garcia Jr (88) takes over the race lead from Calderón on lap 97 of 150.

Calderon and Suarez are trading second-place back and forth.

Caution on lap 112 of 150 for a spin by Andres Perez de Lara (1).

At 2303 eastern, MRN’s Steve ‘Postie/Postman’ Post says the radar indicates it should be raining already and he can see it spitting rain around the track, but, so far, they have gotten more of this race in than they expected.

Jorge Goeters is out of the race on lap 115 of 150. He has had a strange night with the hood popping up in the first few laps, then he went for a spin once he was back on the track. He said the car caught on fire ending the night for him.

Daniel Suarez (99) passes Garcia for the lead on lap 122 of 150 from the restart.

Garcia (88) restarted on the front row and has drifted to the back of the field.

Xavi Razo (7) goes for a spin on lap 125 of 150.

Many members of the teams were unable to participate in this race due to issues getting visas. The top teams have around 20 members compared to a couple hundred for a top Cup team.

Restarting on lap 132 of 150 with Calderon (2) and Suarez (99) up front. Calderon has a flat tire and heads to the infield. Garcia (88) also got a flat when restarting on the front row.

Max Gutierrez (23) spins bringing out the caution on lap 139 of 150.

Restarting on lap 144 of 150 with Daniel Suarez (99) and third place Alex de Alba (14) on the front row.

Suarez takes the white flag and then the checkered flag winning the Batalla en El Coliseo.

There were fewer gimmick shots so I got a chance to see some of the race. The camera-work was lacking as MRN mentioned a number of incidents that we didn’t see on television. It was as though they only had two functioning cameras. There just weren’t a lot of shots of the action throughout the field.

Motorsport News:

Daniel Suárez Wins The ” King Taco: The Battle In The Coliseum”.

Los Angeles Career Runs Today.

Sirvent Regin And Group Signs An Spectacular Manker.

The Mexican Caravan Offers The Last Tram To Arrive In Los Angeles.

Xavi Razo: “The Battle In The Coliseum, An Opportunity To Give Us To Know In The United States”.

Next Race: Súper Óvalo Potosino

GO Mexico Series!!!!

At 10:30 eastern MRN will broadcast the NASCAR Mexico series.
