<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/strong>Happy Mother’s Day!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I had the joy and privilege of spending Mother’s Day with my mother.\u00c2\u00a0 My Mom is currently one of the sweetest people you’d ever meet.\u00c2\u00a0 She’s kind.\u00c2\u00a0 She’s compassionate.\u00c2\u00a0 She’s fun and funny.\u00c2\u00a0 Somewhere along the line she became one of those crazy old Catholic ladies who goes to church daily and hangs out predominately with other Catholics.\u00c2\u00a0 Though I’m happy to say she retains a lot of her beliefs which may not completely coincide with what the latest pope thinks a Roman Catholic person should believe and I salute her for it.\u00c2\u00a0 I also cheer on her daily church going because it makes her happy and keeps her active.\u00c2\u00a0 I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!!

\"\"<\/a>I also love Mother’s Day weekend at NASCAR.\u00c2\u00a0 It thrills me to see the mommies of NASCAR’s toughest hugging their babies.\u00c2\u00a0 I also had the rare pleasure of listening to Clare B Lang’s show on Sirius NASCAR radio before the race, co-hosted by Jeff Gordon’s mom Carol that included chats with Kasey Kahne’s mom, the Busch brothers’ mom, and Ms Nancy, Carl Edwards’ mom.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a rare pleasure because I tend to be required by my nerves to turn off the radio or change the station when Clare is on.\u00c2\u00a0 Her slipping dentures (which cause her to be unable to pronounce the sound made by the letter ‘s’) drive me to distraction.\u00c2\u00a0 The mom collection gimmick made it bearable.\u00c2\u00a0 Also she tends to repeat herself ad nauseam.\u00c2\u00a0 Having a parade of guests seemed to cut down on the redundancy.\u00c2\u00a0 Ms Nancy completely busted Carl.\u00c2\u00a0 She admitted on air that she actually saw him eating a Tootsie pop.\u00c2\u00a0 She was so shocked she had to stare.\u00c2\u00a0 She wondered if he was celebrating something.\u00c2\u00a0 It says a lot about a guy that his mother is shocked at seeing him eat candy.\u00c2\u00a0 I like the Mother’s Day input on and around the track.

\nThe other kewl thing was an interview with a fan that was at the Darlington race from Queens, Pennsylvania (540 miles away) for the sixtieth consecutive year<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 He drove to his first race at 17 after reading about the race in a racing magazine and has been coming down ever since.\u00c2\u00a0 The first time he drove down Interstate 95 had not been built, so the trip was on the back roads and two lane highways between Pennsylvania and South Carolina.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a delightful story.\u00c2\u00a0 His story is also included in a book about fantastical fan stories.<\/a>\"\"<\/p>\n

The race, a night race, on a mile and a third track with one groove, did not have me in breathless anticipation, to say the least.\u00c2\u00a0 In the end my driver, Jimmie Johnson, had a rather \"\"<\/a>sucky night.\u00c2\u00a0 Talk about ‘be careful what you wish for’…Mr Smart-Ass Knaus came over the team radio and told Jimmie that if he wrecked again to please make it big enough that everyone on the team could just go home.\u00c2\u00a0 He got his wish.<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0 Jimmie finished 36th.\u00c2\u00a0 By the time AJ hit him I was laughing.\u00c2\u00a0 I was concerned for his health and safety when I saw how hard AJ hit him, but the situation had become so ridiculous at that point that it had become funny to me.\u00c2\u00a0 Denny won<\/a> both the Nationwide and the Sprint Cup races.\u00c2\u00a0 At this point its looking like he should have knee surgery every few months throughout the season.\u00c2\u00a0 He’s had a much better season since he’s been limping and in severe pain than he had before the surgery.\u00c2\u00a0 Give a young man a point to prove and he will make a complete fool of himself (without regard for his future).<\/p>\n

I am in search of a new mp3 player.\u00c2\u00a0 I need to find one within the next three days.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a few requirements that seem to render my search near impossible.\u00c2\u00a0 I am seeking an mp3 player with at least 8GB of storage, a radio, Mac compatible and with a volume control on the side of the player and buttons on the front, at a reasonable price.\u00c2\u00a0 This doesn’t seem so complicated to me, but has proven to be elusive and time is ticking away.<\/p>\n

Since the trip to see Mom has left me exhausted, tonight will be a very early night for me.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
