margin-right: 5px; border: 3px solid black;\" title=\"NASCAR Nationwide Auto Racing\" src=\"https:\/\/briari.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/933a65c0-deb1-4035-a701-ad648e0cb959-big-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"125\" height=\"125\" \/><\/a>Officially, its an off-week to me since my Sprint Cup boys won&#8217;t be running, but the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.briari.net\/blogv2\/?page_id=526\" target=\"_self\">Truck Series<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.briari.net\/blogv2\/?page_id=541\" target=\"_self\">Nationwide Series<\/a> both had races in Nashville this weekend. \u00c2\u00a0I watched the truck race last night and it was pretty uneventful &#8211; other than Kyle Busch getting his first win as an owner. \u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;m watching the Nationwide race now, so the jury is still out on that one.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This morning\u00c2\u00a0I finished reading a great book called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0312383320?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=briariunlimit-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0312383320\">Plum Spooky (A Between-the-Numbers Novel)<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=briariunlimit-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0312383320\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/> by Janet Evanovich. \u00c2\u00a0The title of the book actually turned me off initially (I know, I know, never judge a book&#8230;.). \u00c2\u00a0I was at the dumpster in my complex and the book was leaning against the dumpster. \u00c2\u00a0I read the title and turned to walk away from the book. \u00c2\u00a0Then I thought, if this book has found me I should give it a try. \u00c2\u00a0I took the book with me and put it down in the house. \u00c2\u00a0Shortly afterward I was visiting my neighbors and one of them mentioned leaving a book at the dumpster. \u00c2\u00a0I told her I&#8217;d just picked up a book at the dumpster and we figured it was most likely the same book, though she couldn&#8217;t remember the title, nor could I. \u00c2\u00a0LiverPooh was in town at the time and had given me two new books. \u00c2\u00a0One of the books was the third in a trilogy and the other was another book by an author we have both been reading lately. \u00c2\u00a0So the new book was third in line. \u00c2\u00a0Once I finished the other two books (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0061161640?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=briariunlimit-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0061161640\">Making Money (Discworld)<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=briariunlimit-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0061161640\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>\u00c2\u00a0and\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/1906694176?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=briariunlimit-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=1906694176\">The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets&#8217; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=briariunlimit-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>\u00c2\u00a0which is what cause me to procrastinate on getting started. \u00c2\u00a0The weather has turned lovely here in Atlanta and my mood has been pretty buoyant; so I really didn&#8217;t want to read a downer, but I did want to read something new. \u00c2\u00a0It is so very unlike a Gardener or a Connelly novel. \u00c2\u00a0It was not dark, nor particularly bloody. \u00c2\u00a0As I mentioned I&#8217;d recently read Terry Pratchett and occasionally his style can be a bit cheeky for me (though not as much as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Furl%3Dsearch-alias%253Dstripbooks%26field-keywords%3Dneil%2Bgaiman%2Bbooks%26x%3D0%26y%3D0&amp;tag=briariunlimit-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325\">Neil Gaiman<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=briariunlimit-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>) this book was neither cheeky nor quaint. \u00c2\u00a0 I&#8217;m looking forward to reading another of the Stephanie Plum <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&amp;location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2Fs%3Furl%3Dsearch-alias%253Dstripbooks%26field-keywords%3Dbetween%2Bthe%2Bnumbers%2Bnovels%2Bby%2Bjanet%2Bevanovich%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%26sprefix%3Dbetween%2Bthe%2Bnumbers%2B&amp;tag=briariunlimit-20&amp;linkCode=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325\">Between-the-Numbers Novels<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I know it&#8217;s a holiday weekend for some people, but the fill-in folks on the race broadcast today left a lot to be desired. \u00c2\u00a0Ricky Craven is the Joe Theismann\/Phil Simms of NASCAR broadcasting. \u00c2\u00a0If I judged him by what he says and his tone and demeanor I&#8217;d think he&#8217;d won more than Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Richard Petty, Cale Yarbrough, David Pearson and Jimmie Johnson combined. \u00c2\u00a0Well, maybe one day, someone will meet his exacting standards and he will be able to broadcast from the same level as the active drivers as opposed to speaking from the lofty heights of a much better driver and a much better man.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow is Easter Sunday. \u00c2\u00a0Usually I visit my Mom. \u00c2\u00a0She&#8217;s a big Easter fan. \u00c2\u00a0This year, I don&#8217;t think I&#8217;ll make the trip. \u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;m still very congested and still coughing from the bug I had last week. \u00c2\u00a0Mom says the pollen is monstrous there. \u00c2\u00a0She said she has to rinse off the car before going anywhere, because of the amount of pollen on the windshield. \u00c2\u00a0She also said the skies were hazy yesterday completely due to pollen. \u00c2\u00a0Since I&#8217;m having trouble with congestion as it is, I don&#8217;t think a trip to the pollen capital of the week is a good idea. \u00c2\u00a0It bums me out though, because it is a family tradition. \u00c2\u00a0This illness had bad timing, though it could&#8217;ve been worst. \u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;ve started back taking the decongestant after taking a couple days off to see how I felt without the meds. \u00c2\u00a0The break alerted me to the fact I need to take more and consider seeing a doctor if the congestion doesn&#8217;t clear. \u00c2\u00a0I am thoroughly <strong>NOT<\/strong> interested in bronchitis.<\/p>\n<p>One last note &#8211;
