Kyle Larson (5) wins stage one.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 110 of 267 for Carson Hocevar (42) losing a tire and visiting the wall. Co-owner Jimmie Johnson is sitting on his pit box.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 144 of 267 for Alex Bowman (48) hitting the wall and losing a right side tire. Bowman bails out of the car with it stopped and smoking along the inside wall. Bowman says he apparently spun out by himself.<\/p>\n

PRN reports Aric ‘Afterburner’ Almirola (10) and Ricky ‘Wrecky Spinhouse’ Stenhouse Jr (47) were bumping doors on track.<\/p>\n

Kyle Larson (5) easily cruises to the stage two win 1.694 seconds ahead of second place.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 208 of 267 for a spin by Chase Briscoe (14). Both his front and rear right side tires are flat, but he spun a long distance. On the replay I saw the right front blow during the spin. The back-end of the car appeared to break loose. The camera views on NBCSports were so bad, it’s hard to tell what happened.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 217 of 267 for Ty Gibbs (54) getting into the wall. His right front wheel and tire both came off before he got to pit road.<\/p>\n

Several folks losing right rear tires including Erik ‘EJ\/DaBrat’ Jones (43), his Legacy Motor Club teammate Carson Hocevar (42), and Chase Briscoe (14).<\/p>\n

PRN reports NASCAR is holding Ty Gibbs (54) for 2 laps for losing the tire.<\/p>\n

The PRN guys have been talking about the end of this race since prior to the start of the race. They estimated the race would take three-and-a-half hours, prior to the green flag. On the restart on lap 225 they’re estimating the race could be over in twenty minutes. They seem very anxious for the end of it. Maybe they’re looking forward to the end of their NASCAR season. They mentioned that this is their final broadcast for the 2023 season. I was glad to hear that. They have been two laps behind the television broadcast this weekend, and at least 1.5 laps behind the tv broadcast the entire season. The delay make PRN much less helpful in providing the audio for the event. If I can’t see the video it’s not a major issue, but when I can, it’s a disappointment, because as bad as PRN can be, they are head & shoulders better than the NBCSports crew.<\/p>\n

On lap 236 of 267 PRN says Kyle Larson (5) has now led more than 1000 laps in the 2023 season.<\/p>\n

Looks like Ty ‘MyGrandfatherIsJoeGibbs’ Gibbs (54) continues to have tire issues and is rolling down pit road. PRN reports he got into the wall again. NASCAR Digitial said what I saw which is that he’s having right front tire issues again. It was smoking as he headed to his pit stall. PRN reports that Gibbs’ crew-chief Chris Gale said he would not send the 54 car out again until they understood what’s causing the right front tire problems.<\/p>\n

“Alright here’s your insertion of artificial drama”, Doug Rice, PRN on lap 253 of 267. He went on to describe second place Christopher Bell (20) catching up to leader Kyle Larson (5).<\/p>\n

Christopher ‘CBell’ Bell (20) continues to gain on Larson as they take the white flag.<\/p>\n

Larson holds Bell off at the line to win by 0.082 seconds.<\/p>\n

The PRN guys were losing their minds in the final four laps of their call. It was the best action of the day, but it was a pretty ho-hum day. Things happened, occasional right side tire issues, but the race looked boring overall. I believe it looked more boring on television than at the track. NBCSports can really broadcast a boring event – regardless of what’s actually occurring on track. They just don’t have the race broadcast knowledge in the ‘truck’, nor enough cameras to actually cover the track, nor the talent in the booth to direct the ‘truck’ to the on-track action that would engage viewers.<\/p>\n

That wasn’t as boring as yesterday’s Xfinity series race, but it wasn’t exciting, competitive, intense, nor memorable.<\/p>\n
