On lap 11 of 55 the NBC television broadcast is bored so we’re stuck looking out a front window so we really see the wall, a bumper of a car in the distance and the street alongside a graphic of the course. Horrible television. Everyone has spent a lot of time hyping the NASCAR race on the streets of Chicago and less than 1\/4 of the way into the event the television broadcast shows there’s nothing interesting to see in the actual race, so they’re trying to show you something to entertain that doesn’t involve watching the actual cars racing. Now, on lap 13 of 55, we’re in a split-screen commercial break and stuck looking out a windscreen again. So far this television broadcast sucks for me since I actually want to watch the race. They switched to an overhead shot so high I had to strain to discern the cars far below on the street.<\/p>\n

MRN is hyping the event big time, already saying it has delivered and none of the negative predictions have come to pass.<\/p>\n

Cole Custer (00) wins stage one. The event continues under the green flag.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 16 of 55 for Andre Castro (34) crashing into the tire barrier. Of course NBC has crap camera views of the crash.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 24 of 55 for lightning.<\/p>\n

Red flag.<\/p>\n

The race has been postponed until tomorrow due to weather.<\/p>\n
