AJ Allmendinger (16) and Trevor Bayne (18) will lead the 38 car field to the green flag under mostly sunny skies. The stages for the event are 45-45-111 laps.<\/p>\n

Ty Gibbs easily wins stage one.<\/p>\n

Restarting on lap 52 of 201 with Ty ‘LittleJoe’ Gibbs (54) and Austin Hill (21) on the front row.<\/p>\n

Noah Gragson (9) takes the lead from LittleJoe.<\/p>\n

PRN reports Sheldon Creed (2) goes to the garage on lap 54 of 201. They didn’t say why.<\/p>\n

PRN reports, on lap 81 of 201, Sheldon Creed (2) is out of the race and Ryan Sieg (39) is behind the wall with steering issues.<\/p>\n

Noah Gragson (9) easily wins stage two.<\/p>\n

PRN reports both Trevor Bayne (18) and Daniel Hemric (11) had crew members fall over the wall. Both will have to restart at the back of the field.<\/p>\n

Restarting on lap 97 of 201 with Austin Hill (21) at the front of the field.<\/p>\n

Brandon Jones (19) quickly gets the lead.<\/p>\n

Green flag pit stops underway on lap 140 of 201.<\/p>\n

I decided to listen to the race instead of watching it. I’m not expecting a great race and televised so-so races are awful to watch due to the idiotic things NBC does on the broadcast. Since they don’t know how to properly broadcast a mile-and-a-half race, I’m saving myself the aggravation.<\/p>\n

I’m bummed for Kurt Busch that he has not recovered enough to race in 2023. He’s a delight on and off the track. He loves it so much I’d like him to race as long as he wants to. That said, I’m still recovering from a concussion in April or May (my memory is still not working properly following the bump on the noggin). I feel his pain.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 161 of 201. I’ll find out why when the PRN broadcast catches up to nascar.com’s lap-by-lap. Something to do with Brandon Jones (19). The PRN turn reporter Nick Yeoman (I think) didn’t see what happened. He only saw Brandon Jones correct his car and smoke coming out of the back. Brad Gilley of PRN reports Brandon Jones got sideways, but didn’t hit anything.<\/p>\n

Restarting on lap of 201 with Landon Cassill (10) and Noah Gragson (9) on the front row. Landon stayed out.<\/p>\n

Do I simply have no idea how to pronounce Rajah Carruth’s (44) name, or is it a white man problem? His name looks pretty straight-forward, but PRN pronounces it in a really weird way.<\/p>\n

AJ Allmendinger (16) comes to pit road, from fourth position, on lap 176 of 201 for tires. He reportedly said he couldn’t handle the tires anymore.<\/p>\n

Noah Gragson (9) brushed the wall on lap 178 of 201 but continues.<\/p>\n

On lap 188 of 201 Josh Berry (8) leads, JRM teammate Justin Allgaier (7) is in second and teammate Noah Gragson (9) is racing for third position on lap 190 of 201. The final JRM car, Sam Mayer (1) is in seventh position currently.<\/p>\n

AJ Allmendinger did indeed have a loose tire.<\/p>\n

On lap 191 of 201 Noah Gragson (9) takes third from LittleJoe (54).<\/p>\n

Josh Berry tags the wall and lapped car of Parker Retzleff, but continues in the lead on lap 197 of 201.<\/p>\n

Josh Berry (8) wins 1.125 seconds ahead of Noah Gragson (9)!<\/p>\n

JRM teammates Noah Gragson (9) and Justin Allgaier (7) finish second and third respectively. PRN reports Allgaier taps the bumper of teammate Gragson and they had words. Sam Mayer (1) finishes seventh.<\/p>\n

“I drove my nut-sack off just trying to get back up to the front…” – Noah Gragson (9). Seriously! On the PRN post race interview. What is wrong with that boy?<\/p>\n

Josh Berry was below the cut line coming into this race. The win puts him in the next round in the final four.<\/p>\n

Listening on radio the race was just okay. I imagine it was better on radio than on television. There was a little excitement as Noah Gragson chased down his teammates at the end of the event. There was some intensity in Noah, Justin Allgaier, Josh Berry, Sam Mayer and Trevor Bayne’s performances. The race was competitive for JRM, but the other teams didn’t seem to be able to do much with them. It seemed cars could pass early in a run, but after that the field would remain the same overall. Noah pulled off a few passes later in the run, but most cars couldn’t seem to accomplish that feat. It was not a memorable event. Kurt Busch’s announcement that he would not compete for the rest of the year and would not compete full-time in 2023 was the most memorable event today.<\/p>\n
