Justin Allgaier (7) will lead the field of 38 cars to the green flag under sunny skies. The stages for today’s race are 20-20-50.<\/p>\n

Justin Allgaier (7) wins stage one.<\/p>\n

Noah Gragson (9) wins stage two.<\/p>\n

Crash on lap 46 of 90 for a crash involving Ricky Stenhouse Jr (48) and Jeb Burton (27), Ronnie Basset Jr (77), and Santino Ferrucci(26). Ferruci spun was hit by Stenhouse which slide down toward the inside wall, Jeb Burton tried to squeeze by Stenhouse and the inside wall and went airborne then onto its roof. Burton’s car is on it’s roof on the track. The safety team slowly flips the car onto the driver’s side, then gingerly lowers it to the wheels. Jeb Burton climbs out on his own power. Ronnie Bassett Jr hit the inside wall. Jeremy Clements (51) also got collected in the incident.<\/p>\n

Race is red flagged. Caution is out.<\/p>\n

Caution on lap 52 of 90 for a spin by Sammy Smith (18) who backs it into the wall.<\/p>\n

Gragson takes the white flag in a 2 man battle for the lead.<\/p>\n

Noah Gragson (9) holds off Ty Gibbs (54) to win.<\/p>\n

The last dozen laps of that was a race – only a two-car race, but nonetheless a race. The final lap with them battling door-to-door was enjoyable and mildly exciting. Overall the race was was okay; mildly competitive; mildly exciting; memorable for Jeb Burton on his roof. The door-to-door battle was enjoyable, but it should be a common occurrence and not worthy of making a race memorable. That it’s rare makes it memorable for the 2022 season (so far).<\/p>\n

Noah vomited a little as he approached Parker Kligerman for the on-track post race interview. Parker noted it and gave Noah a minute to grab some water and get himself together. The tv booth eventually changed the shot from Noah to an aerial view until he was tv ready. He said it wasn’t such a hard race, but it wore him out.<\/p>\n

Ty Gibbs ignored a direct question about whether his previous issues with Noah influenced the way he raced Noah. He never congratulated Noah on the win during his tv interview. No class. Brat.<\/p>\n
