The cautions feel endless. Back in the good televised racing days, the on-air team was entertaining and engaging and educational and would say things that would get the viewer excited about the action to follow. They were accurate. The action usually replicated their descriptions. Now the broadcast booth is dreadful, neither entertaining, nor educational. The pit reporters spend too much time trying to get their mugs on tv and saying nothing of interest or value – just trying to put themselves over. Worst of all there’s not much on-track action that follows the lengthy caution that doesn’t include the elements necessary to get a viewer excited about the racing to come. So the cautions seem endlessly boring, like the event.<\/p>\n

For some reason they clip the grass shortly after the restart. Hemric has to battle Justin Allgaier (7) for second position.<\/p>\n
On lap 137 of 200 NBC Sports has gotten extremely bored and have a windscreen\/hood shot throughout a split-screen with a commercial. It’s like having the commercial full-screen because you can’t actually see the race.<\/p>\n
Caution on lap 141 of 200 for a spin into the grass by CJ McLaughlin (74).<\/p>\n

Hemric gets the early jump for the lead.<\/p>\n
Split-screen on lap 150 of 200 for no apparent reason. Ah the battle for second and the battle for 17th. Useless video. They dumped the battle for second to full-screen the battle for 17th. Can someone teach them how to broadcast an entertaining, engaging, thrilling race?<\/p>\n
Caution on lap 171 of 200 for a crash by Brandon Brown (68). Looked like Brandon lost the back end going into the turn. He managed to keep it off the outside wall, but tagged the inside wall pretty good.<\/p>\n
Watching cars split the arrow for the choose rule; boring television.<\/p>\n
Restarting on lap 179 of 200.<\/p>\n
JHN and Harrison Burton race door-to-door for the lead until Harrison clears JHN. JHN fights back. The battle continues until JHN takes the lead on lap 181 of 200.<\/p>\n
It’s finally over. JHN was unchallenged for the lead after the restart battle.<\/p>\n
JHN had the nerve to bow to the fans after getting out of the 54 Joe Gibbs Racing car. Dude, get your own thing – don’t just steal your boss’s post-race thing. That boy is such a tool.<\/p>\n
It was a busy event, but nothing to write home about. The Smiths, Bruton and Marcus Smith, and NASCAR, need to do something to create actual racing throughout the event. Overall when someone got the lead after the restart they drove away from the field. Occasionally JHN could catch and pass the leader, but basically no one else could. Not much of a race.<\/p>\n
