The final restart was worth watching. They wrecked coming across the line, literally sliding sideways as the checkered flag waved, then both cars hit the wall. AJ Allmendinger (16) then got hit by two other cars, Myatt Snider (2) and Justin Haley (11). Allmendinger gets out of the car and into the ambulance. Cindric (22) was the leader he battled with AJ for the lead – AJ got out of shape – Cindric battled Allgaier door-to-door, Riley Herbst (98) got involved – Allgaier got loose banging off Cindric and Herbst – Allmendinger got around them both – He and Cindric slammed into each other and slid diagonally across the finish line with Justin Allgaier (7) and Herbst slamming each other coming across the line – AJ & Cindric spun into the inside wall and back off it and up into traffic and then got hit by Myatt Snider and Justin Haley who were involved in their own battles for position.<\/p>\n
Okay race with a great finish. A decent end to a pretty sorry regular season for the Xfinity series. They didn’t do a lot of logging laps and the ending was phenomenal – it looked like they were trying hard and they really cared if they won. Nice change. Allmendinger’s begging for applause and attention was stomach turning, then again he’s despicable overall. Bad for the sport if you ask me. The PRN guys were waxing rhapsodic about his history and of course had to tip-toe through and around that incident with the drug test failure. Bad for the sport. He never accepted responsibility and apologized for that. Like Kyle Larson he blamed the people he was with. Bad for the sport.<\/p>\n
