They’re saying there’s a good crowd for the weather conditions. One of the PRN guys said they were paid to be on the roof, or they probably wouldn’t have been there yesterday so they were really impressed by the crowd yesterday.

Kurt Busch leads the field to green.

KHarv takes the lead before the first lap is completed.

Alex Bowman spins on lap 3 of 334. He collects Paul Menard, and Daniel Suarez and Ross Chastain. Looks like he got out fo the gas and either KyBu or Afterburner got in his rear end sending him spinning. Actually that was Bubba that got Alex in the rear. Austin Dillon got a piece of that. The PRN guys are saying that Alex lost it by himself and spun. They’re saying he got too low and hit a piece of the apron.

The Bear Bond is not sticking on Daniel Suarez’s car, so they’re laying Bear Bond on then duct taping it down.

Restarting on lap 7 of 334.

The stages are 85-85-164 for this race.

Green flag pit stops are underway on lap 44 of 334.

Blaney is a lap down due to an uncontrolled tire penalty.

Unscheduled pit stop for Jimmie Johnson on lap 55 of 334. Jimmie said he had a bad vibration. He had a loose right front tire. He’s now two laps down.

Denny Hamlin got popped for speeding on pit road after staying out a long time in that round of pit stops hoping to trap everyone a lap down. He’s now a lap down.

KHarv is 7+ seconds ahead of the field. You call that a race?

Happy Harvick is now 11 seconds ahead of the field on lap 76 of 334 trying to put the 16th car a lap down.

On lap 80 of 334 the 78 of Martin Truex Jr slams the wall hard. Martin is angrily getting out of the car. He went into the turn and kept going into the wall – just never turned again.

The stage is going to end under yellow according to the PRN guys. Lots of fluid down on the track that will not get cleaned up in time.

Martin said he blew a right front tire.

KyBu leads them to the green flag on lap 91 of 334.

Kutey Kyle Larson is being a menace. He was in second – got passed by Harvick and got wiggly – and keeps trying to get back down in the inside lane, but isn’t as fast right now as the cars trying to pass him so he’s causing them to get bottled up a bit trying to keep off him.

Jimmie used the wave-around to get one lap back. He’s battling William Byron for the Lucky Dog spot.

Jimmie had to go in for a pit stop so he’s now 3 laps down.

Caution on lap 126 of 334 as Kutey Kyle Larson slams the wall hard. He climbs out of his smoking car. He too lost a right front tire. Kyle Larson said the car was a little tight, but no mention of a tire issue. Seemed to be the same ‘no warning’ Martin Truex Jr mentioned.

Restarting on lap 134 of 334 with Kurt Busch leading the field to the green flag.

Kevin Harvick is back on pit road on lap 136 of 334. He’s now one lap down. They had trouble with his pit stop before due to a lug nut getting stuck.

On lap 141 of 334 Ryan Blaney is suddenly heading down pit lane. He goes a lap down.

Paul Menard heads into the pits smoking on lap 158 of 334.

KyBu is stalking KuBu for the lead on lap 159 of 334.

KyBu takes the lead on lap 166 of 334 from KuBu, then KuBu battles back, the KuBu gets loose and slides up allows KyBu to get away.

KyBu wins stage two

That Jones kid wins the race off pit road.

Restarting on lap 178 of 334.

Chase Elliott passes KyBu for second.

Denny Hamlin spins and takes out It and Jimmie Johnson on lap 178 of 334. Aric ‘Afterburner’ Alimorola checked up to avoid hitting KyBu as he went backwards through the field, Denny tapped Afterburner spinning up into Brad ‘It’ Keselowski in front of Jimmie who plowed into them and bounced off hitting the inside wall. Austin ‘Frankenstein’ Dillon got into the back of Trevor Bayne when he checked up sending him spinning. David Ragan got a piece of that. Afterburner is headed to the garage. Denny Hamlin is back behind the wall. They have a wrecker on the track for Jimmie’s car. The number of safety vehicle is the cause of the red flag.

Red flag is out. Yellow flag is out.

Restarting on lap 183 of 334.

Chase Elliott makes an unscheduled pit stop on lap 215 of 334. He says he has a problem with the right front. The PRN guys are saying the 9 of Chase Elliott isn’t far from his scheduled pit stop.

KHarv is battling Darrell ‘Bubba’ Wallace and Ricky ‘Stinkhouse’ Stenhouse for the free pass (Lucky Dog) spot. Since there aren’t any changes in the front of the field the PRN guys are talking almost exclusively about that battle for the 11th spot on lap with 100+ laps to go. Chase Elliott and KHarv both finally got by Bubba on lap 225 of 334.

Green flag pit stops are underway on lap 230 of 334.

Caution is out with 99 laps to go for Paul Menard hitting the wall.

There’s a possibility that KHarv got back on the lead lap through the green flag pit stops and Bubba is now the first car one lap down and will also get back on the lead lap according to the PRN guys.

Restarting on lap 240 of 334 with ‘that Jones kid’ Erik ‘Da Brat’ Jones at the front of the field.

KyBu takes over the lead pretty quickly. KuBu is stalking Erik ‘Da Brat’ Jones.

Spins that include Kasey Kahne and Trevor Bayne brings out the caution on lap 249 of 334.

Kasey has a shredded right front tire.

Restarting on lap 255 of 334 with KyBu in the lead.

Jamie Mc took over second position from Jones.

Stenhouse tapped the wall, but keeps going on lap 258 of 334.

Harvick has passed Jamie McMurray on lap 278 of 334.

Green flag pit stops underway on lap 290 of 334.

Caution on lap 303 of 334 for a right front blow out by Ryan Newman who was trying to hang in second hoping for a caution.

Stenhouse and Bubba Wallace that strategy seems to have worked.

Jamie Mc is in position to get the free pass in sixth position behind Newman, Stenhouse, Bubba Wallace, KyBu, and KHarv. The rest of the field will be one lap down and take the wave around.

Barring some unforeseen ‘oops’ by KyBu and KHarv the possibilities of an interesting/different winner seems low. Bummer. Still hoping for something interesting and good for a change.

Restarting on lap 311 of 334 with KyBu and KHarv up front. Ricky Stenhouse is reporting a bad vibration under caution. His crew chief said he’s just going to have to deal with it.

Stenhouse is dropping back through the field from third position.

Bubba is getting passed, a lot, from fourth.

Stenhouse lost the brakes – that was the vibration. He heads to pit road on lap 316 of 334.

Kyle is still in the lead as the white flag flies with KHarv stalking him.

KyBu wins. Jamie Mc finishes third. Ryan Blaney finishes 5th. Bubba finishes 8th. William Byron finishes 10th.

KHarv said the car was fast enough to overcome ‘what was an absolutely pathetic two days on pit road’. Ouch!

TV is spending a lot of time showing Samantha Busch for some reason. Apparently she’s convinced them that Kyle’s hard work somehow has something to do with her. I mean I know she seems to say things than indicates she was involved in wins, but I didn’t realize she’d hypnotized the FS1 folks into buying that. A couple of reaction shots are one thing. The congratulations when she gets to him in Victory Lane, understandable. But we were stuck watching her throughout that last run. We didn’t see the crew chief, or any of the other people who daily work on that car, but the camera was focused on her. Her mojo is strong apparently.

It’s Master’s Sunday, so time for me to see what’s going on at the Augusta National.

Motorsports News:

Kyle Busch holds off Kevin Harvick to win crazy Texas race.

2019 NASCAR Cup calendar revealed.

Blaney 3rd straight driver to win Xfinity race in No. 20.

Zane Smith wins at Nashville; earns career-first in ARCA.

Zane Smith breaks through in ARCA at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.

15-year-old Chandler Smith wins GT Pole at Nashville with new track record.

Next Race: Bristol

GO 48!!!!

Cloudy skies in Texas, but the sun is supposed to shine.
