Chad Knaus is subbing for Justin Allgaier&#8217;s crew chief who was suspended.<\/p>\n<p>JJ Yeley goes for a spin to bring out the first caution on lap 18 of 200.<\/p>\n<p>Cole Custer wins stage one.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Hemric is out of the championship race at this time.<!--more--> He began having electrical issues during the second stage and has spent a number of laps on pit road.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the &#8216;first across the line wins the championship&#8217; format the championship contenders spend most of the race running conservatively which makes sense because they have nothing to gain by winning stages and everything to lose by battling someone for a stage win.<\/p>\n<p>It allows other cars to battle up front &#8211; cars that frequently aren&#8217;t that high on the leaderboard. It also typically makes for a boring race for the vast majority of it. To watch the &#8216;also runs&#8217;, the &#8216;almost made its&#8217;, and the &#8216;there to help win the owner&#8217;s championships&#8217; up front just isn&#8217;t that interesting. It&#8217;s kind of a no-win situation. If they make an exciting race, they take big chances with the championship. If they race conservatively they make a boring race.<\/p>\n<p>Cole Custer wins stage two.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly and LW Miller, Jr and Amy Earnhardt, Rick and Linda Hendrick and Jeff &#8216;Big Daddy&#8217; Gordon are down in Elliott Sadler and William Byron&#8217;s pits.<\/p>\n<p>Elliott Sadler scrapes the wall with seven laps to go and loses position to William Byron &#8211; his teammate and competitor for the championship.<\/p>\n<p>Elliott Sadler brushed the wall again as he tried to get past Ryan Preece who went sideways and Elliott had to check up allowing William Byron to get away.<\/p>\n<p>Elliott is being passed. His car is hurt.<\/p>\n<p><!--06:00:36 PM-->Cole Custer wins his first Xfinity Series race.<\/p>\n<p>William Byron finishes third for the championship.<\/p>\n<p>Sam Hornish got the owner&#8217;s championship for Penske. Always with the gimmick. They can&#8217;t just let that owner&#8217;s championship be decided by the regular Xfinity drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Elliott Sadler is hot with Ryan Preece. They had to be separated.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan Preece said he was just following team orders there.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan said he&#8217;s an Elliott Sadler fan and he doesn&#8217;t want to cost anyone a chapionship, especially not Elliott Sadler. He said he&#8217;s been an Elliott Sadler fan since he was a kid.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan said he got hired to race for the owner&#8217;s championship and he was racing the 9. He said he can&#8217;t &#8216;not listen&#8217; to his owner, the guy who&#8217;s paying him. He said if he was going to cost anyone the championship, it wouldn&#8217;t have been Elliott Sadler since he&#8217;s been<\/p>\n<p>He said if they would&#8217;ve come over the radio and told him to lay-over and let those guys race, he would&#8217;ve. He can only do what he&#8217;s told.<\/p>\n<p>Poor Ryan. The kid was put in a man&#8217;s position, but doesn&#8217;t have the experience to make a man&#8217;s choices. So he did what he was told. I&#8217;m bummed for Elliott.
