Sun is shining as the race begins in Pocono. I have been looking forward to this race all week, but if the ARCA and Xfinity races are any indication, this will be a boring race. The stages are 50-50-60 for this race. I was hoping for a better race since some of my previous fave tracks have had better racing this season – some haven’t. I was hoping Pocono would. Congrats to Bubba Wallace on getting a Cup ride for the race. He’s subbing for the recovering Aric ‘Afterburner’ Almirola. Timothy Peters walked away from a horrendous crash in the truck series on Friday. TP has two races with MDM motorsports – Texas, this week, and Gateway, next week. I’m pulling for him to get a full season’s ride following the dissolution of his owner Red Horse Racing. <\/p>\n
Green flag stops are underway around lap 24.<\/p>\n
Stage one is over. KyBu was way out front for the entirety of the stage.<\/p>\n
Oh isn’t that nice, a half dressed female parade as we return from commercial break. Lovely. Not. Seriously, what’s the purpose of those chicks.<\/p>\n

Dale Jr is in the garage he apparently blew up another engine by going into the wrong gear again. He did the same thing in practice yesterday.<\/p>\n
On lap 97 of 160 Jimmie lost his brakes and hit the wall. Jimmie is sitting along the wall. Jamie Mc also hit the wall, then his car went up in flames. Jamie said his brake pedal went to the ground. Sounds like they both had brake issues simultaneously. The race has been red flagged. Both drivers bailed out of their cars on their own quickly. Jimmie was in seventh and Jamie was in ninth when the wrecks occurred.<\/p>\n
23 minute red flag is over and the field is moving under caution.<\/p>\n
They’re telling Happy that they’re going to throw the flag with one to go. Clint Bowyer was waved around and he got bashed by Kutey Kyle as he tried to pass to the right of him. Kyle was cleaning his tires at the time.<\/p>\n
Clint had already hit the wall earlier in the race. He didn’t bring out the caution either time.<\/p>\n
As pit road closed several cars came onto pit road. Since the penalty is starting at the tail end of the lead lap its rather irrelevant for them to get penalized.<\/p>\n
They’re restarting with one to go as Harvick was told.<\/p>\n
Kutey Kyle wins stage two.<\/p>\n
So far this has been a really boring race.<\/p>\n
Green flag stops with 36 laps to go.<\/p>\n
Caution is out with 19 laps to go as Kasey Kahne hits the wall and rides it a while. He also had a brake issue.<\/p>\n
Restarting with 13 to go. KyBu back in the lead.<\/p>\n
Ryan Blaney takes the lead with ten laps to go.<\/p>\n
Matt DiBenedetto is slow on the apron with five to go. He’s been told to turn off the track.<\/p>\n
Ryan Blaney wins. Way to go ‘Son’!!!<\/p>\n
Bubba, in his first NASCAR start, rides alongside to congratulate best buddy Blaney.<\/p>\n
Reed Sorenson’s car caught on fire on pit road after the race.<\/p>\n
Unbelievably ‘It’ is ‘playing’ pit reporter for Ryan’s Victory Lane. What a hater! He can’t allow Ryan his spotlight. It amazes me that Ryan Blaney is only associated with – recognized by – Penske when he does something well, or they need to use him, otherwise his’ ignored.<\/p>\n
It was fun watching Chase and Bubba come up to congratulate Blaney – his friends – until the camera suddenly switch to show up the crew watching the proceedings, instead of the congratulations. Weird. We ended up seeing Bubba and Blaney on a replay.<\/p>\n
This is the 99th win for the Wood Brothers.<\/p>\n
