KHarv is in the booth for the tv broadcast. The stages are 60-60-80. Daniel Suarez hit the wall on lap 12 and is out of the race. He said he was hit from behind. He says he’s very disappointed in how some of those guys race in the back. Jeremy Clements who was also involved in the incident says Daniel was having a tire issue and went three wide. The Dash-for-Cash rules for 2017 have been announced on the tv broadcasts though I’m unfamiliar with them at this point. It’s a gimmick that holds little interest for me overall. Plus I find that when people talk on and on I stop listening. I’ve apparently been spending too much time with people who use a lot of words to say very little, so long explanations cause me to zone out and look for a concise written explanation of whatever they were rabbiting on about and I’ve not yet looked for that. I still have the issue of finding interest in people who seem to make a lot of money having the opportunity to make even more money – when too many people don’t make much money and don’t have the opportunity to make more. Rich people with enjoyable jobs getting richer doesn’t do it for me. Now if the guys who do a 9-5 daily and make just above minimum wage and only got a chance to race occasionally when they could afford it had a chance to race for big bucks that would be more interesting to me. So to make the Dash-For-Cash work for me the competitors involved would have to have an income limit – and not be affiliated in any way with the big teams (Penske, Hendrick, JGR, Roush, Ganassi, MWR, Petty. Basically if you can afford more than one car and can afford to race when you want you’re not eligible. I’m sure that wouldn’t do anything for the big money corporation sponsoring the D-F-C gimmick, but it would provide name recognition for teams that put their heart and soul into racing and typically get little recognition and even less profit from racing. It might even provide the foundation for more teams who want to be a bigger part of NASCAR to grow into it.

Uncle Brenny (Brendan Gaughan) goes around due to Matt Tifft bumping into him on lap 84 of 200.

Stage two is over. I’ve not found the race interesting enough to keep up with who won the stages. I was looking forward to this race, expecting something interesting. I’ve been sorely disappointed so far.

Caution is out on lap 132 of 200 for a spin by the 90 of Mario Gosselin. David Starr also has some damage in the incident after Mario got into him.

Caution is out for Joey Gase’s car catching on fire after hitting the outside wall on lap 156 of 200.

Caution is out for a spin by the 24 of Drew Herring on lap 167 of 200. Looks like Brandon Jones got into his rear end and turned him. Corey LaJoie will be back in the car next weekend.

Caution on lap 183 of 200 for Blake Koch baking into the outside wall.

Restarting with 12 to go and Dewey Alligator in the lead. Go Just Allgaier go!

Spin by the 2 of Austin Dillon with 11 to go brings out the caution. The 39 of Ryan Sieg spun into him. The 00 of Cole Custer ran over Frankenstein sending him spinning into the wall.

Frankenstein will have to go to the hauler after the race along with his cre chief. They’ve red flagged the race with 9 to go. After the wreck Austin ran his car across the front of Cole Custer’s car pinning him up against the wall. He waited for Cole to come and then ran across his front.

There’s oil on the track from the wreck resulting in the red flag.

Red flag is up after five minutes.

95 degrees in Phoenix according to AA.

They will restart with four to go.

Justin Allgaier wins and Ryan Blaney comes in second. Congrats to both!!!

Dewy got a little emotional on the radio saying how proud he is of him team. Deserved victory.

Elliott Sadler just walked up and p oured a bottle of Gatorader down Justin’s back while holding him in place.

Justin also wins the D-F-C $100,00 for this week.

Congratulations to Elliott Sadler on his fifth place finish.

Happy (Kevin Harvick) looks so fresh and crisp standing in the booth at the end of the broadcast. He’s also wearing a plain blue shirt with a patterned tie which looks nice. The other two are going with the current trend of wearing a patterned shirt and a clashing tie. They both look hot and rumpled.

NASCAR News:

Column: It takes a brawl for NASCAR to go mainstream.

Strong Start for Blaney.

Phoenix Pole to Logano.

Logano Ready to Move On.

2017 Busch Talks About ‘Epic’ Day With the Cubs.

Busch, Logano Meet With NASCAR.

Wallace Back in MRN Booth at Phoenix.

No Penalties for Busch, Logano.

Pearn, Barker Fined After Las Vegas.

Opinion: Right to Fight?.

Facebook CEO Takes Ride With Earnhardt Jr..

NASCAR Notebook: Busch Sponsor ‘Disappointed’ in Fight.

TMS Officially Unveils Track Renovations.

NASCAR Reacts to Fight.

Rodden Pleased With Top-10 Start.

Kyle Busch, Logano Brawl in Vegas.

Next Race: Daytona

GO 48!!!!

Sunny and warm in Phoenix as the Xfinity series kids take to the track.
