I’m bummed because I wanted to hear Chase in the booth – though not badly enough to tolerate Michael Waltrip.

One of the guys on PRN said, during the Xfinity race, he thought the stages were really adding something to the racing, but advised the listeners that it was just race two and that they should withhold judgement of the racing until later in the season. So its okay for him to judge the racing and the addition of stages, but the money-paying fans should withhold their judgement. Seriously? You get paid to be there, but you think you should tell the fans how exciting the stages have made the racing, but tell them they shouldn’t make up their minds yet. Basically believe what you – who get paid to be there – say, not what they – who pay to be there – see. That is something most of the people paid to talk about NASCAR tend to do that drives me bananas. Don’t urinate on my head and tell me its raining.

He also said that the stages created a lot of storylines each week. That was one of the reasons he gave for his approval of the stages. Since I’m not a lazy/busy/desperate/paid journalist – just a fan – I can honestly say storylines mean nothing to me. I’m looking for good racing, not storylines.

Caution is out for a spin on lap one by Noah Gragson and Breff Moffitt.

The stages for the Atlanta Truck race are 40-40-50. It’s a gorgeous blue sky day, though a bit cool with a high in the low 60s today.

Slugger Labbe is in the PRN booth for the call of the race.

Caution on lap 13 of 130 for a smoking Chase Elliott who lost a right rear tire.

The race is sadly named the Action Pest Control 200. That’s just unfortunate.

Parker Kligerman is sitting stopped on the track on lap 17. The field is still under caution.

Parker Kligerman lost power. The truck will start up, but powers down again immediately.

The field restarts on lap 41.

Caution on lap 50 for Akinori Ogata. Chase Briscoe had a tire come apart and had just made a green flag pit stop.

Field is back underway on lap 54.

John Hunter Nemechek slams the wall on lap 78 of 130, but continues on.

Christopher Bell wins staged two as well.

Caution on lap 94 for a spin by Tommy Joe Martins.

John Hunter has too much damage to repair under the five minute clock so he’s out for the day.

Alex Bowman is in the GMS #24 truck filling in for Justin Haley. Justin at 17 is too young to compete in the first two races of the season.

Caution is out on lap 103 of 130 for an incident with Jordan Anderson who tapped the outside wall, ran into the grass and almost went over, but settled down, sliding back onto and up the track. It’s putting down debris and fluid on the track and pit road. Corbin Forester got into Jordan Anderson according to PRN.

TV was in commercial break when it happened and has a lot of bad camera shots of the incident and one decent view once they were finally back on-air.

Grant Enfinger stayed out and will lead the field to green with 18 to go.

KyBu and Kaz Grala get into the wall shortly after the restar, but continue on.

Caution is out with 6 to go for Austin Cindric spinning.

Christopher Bell will lead the field to green on the restart with two to go.

Justin Anderson said he only has one truck and it just got wrecked. He works on it with his father and has a tiny budget, driving the hauler himself.

Christopher Bell wins.

NASCAR News:

NASCAR’s Landon Cassill seeking breakthrough in 2017.

Party time!
