The first race of the Chase will be held under lovely blue skies in Chicagoland. Kyle Busch leads the field to the green flag due to qualifying getting rained out on Friday.<\/p>\n
Caution during green flag pit stops on lap 49 of 267 for Aric Almirola’s loose tire. The crewman rolled the tire to the wall, it bounced off and rolled across pit road into the grass. KHarv and Jimmie dodged the tire on their way into pit road, before the caution was thrown.<\/p>\n
Jimmie Johnson crossed the start-finish line on pit road before Martin Truex Jr crossed the start-finish line on the track. He will lead them to green on the restart.<\/p>\n
Denny Hamlin is reporting that he thinks the engine is going on the #11. He saw a lug nut fly into the cowl and down into the engine on lap 87.<\/p>\n
Martin Truex Jr is making an unscheduled pit stop on lap 89. It appears Truex’s right front tire has a huge gouge in the right front tire.<\/p>\n
