I watched dvr’d episodes of a new guilty pleasure – Supernatural. I watched it tonight. It wasn’t a rerun. It picks up the story a month after last week’s episode. Losing Potential Guilty Pleasure: Nashville

nashville_logo_125After a few weeks of re-runs Nashville has a new episode. After the re-run weeks it was no longer on my to do list, so I wondered what was recording on my DVR. After checking the day of the week and the time (10:57pm) I realized it was Nashville time. Not a good sign. I had no interest in watching the re-runs which mildly is also not a good sign. I’m checking out the recording now. Thank heavens for fast forward when the wailing starts. Carl Long’s Long Sad Tale

carl_long_2010_71717280_display_imageCarl Long ran afoul of the 2009 NASCAR rule book and is still paying the price. Denny Hamlin’s refusal to pay his $25,000 fine for actions detrimental to stock car racing has many people thinking about Long’s punishment. Admittedly different circumstances – Long had an engine that was 0.17 cubic inches too large – Denny just purposefully did something that NASCAR advised the drivers not to do. 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Four Bristol

15osYN.St.158Earlier rain has washed the rubber off the track so we’re dealing with a green track again. There’s a chance of rain in the forecast. The skies are cloudy. The Nationwide Series had a green track yesterday after a morning rain. Kyle Busch, who, at 27, is the winningest driver in the Nationwide series, won the race yesterday.
