2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Seven Texas

Rain delay for the Sprint Cup race. Rain moved through this afternoon or evening resulting in a two hour delay to the start of the race. It’s 60 degrees. I’d hate to be in those grandstands shivering. There will be a competition caution at lap 25.

At 20:30 central time the field is finally on the track doing the parade laps.

2016 NASCAR Xfinity Series Race Six Texas

Nice night in Texas, 72 degrees with a partly cloudy sky. KyBu has the pole. I hope he won’t stink up the show as usual. Carl Edwards is the in the booth. Unfortunately he joins Adam Alexander and Michael Waltrip. FS1 desperately needs to hire quality NASCAR broadcasters. Race Day featured Danielle Trotta wearing an outfit that left her looking like she would be the center of attention and business on any street corner. Next to her was Larry McReynolds who has to be an embarrassment to Alabama, which is saying a lot considering some of the many embarrassments in Alabama, current and historic. When Kenny Wallace is the best the show has to offer – Kenny is fun, but no professional broadcaster/sportscaster – the show is in desperate need of some actual talent to frame Kenny’s fun. 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Six Martinsville

The sky in Martinsville is gorgeous – clear, blue perfection. Earlier I saw that it was 46 degrees with 15 mph winds. You couldn’t pay me to sit outside in grandstands in that weather – then again I’m from Georgia. Mild weather means something totally different to me than it does to a person in and around New Hampshire. Kasey Kahne is starting on the outside pole position.
