Matti Di rolled into driver intro’s with long flowing, synthetic blonde hair. That guy has personality and lots of it. Michael Annett has flu-like symptoms and has tapped Justin Allgaier to drive for him tonight. The show opened with raindrops on the camera lens. It doesn’t appear to be raining at the moment, but there are lots of clouds in view. Jeff Gordon seems to be making another final night race at Bristol. I say seems to be due tot he fact he thought the last Bristol night race was the final one, and here he is again. Carl Edwards leads the field to green. I wish the best for Bryan Clauson who was in a brutal crash last night at the 39th Belleville (Kan.) Midget Nationals. Feel better Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jeff Gordon is in the car again this week for Booboo. The doctors didn’t release him to race. Boris Said actually managed to get in a car and into the race this week. We tend not to see a lot of the old ‘road race wringers’ anymore so its rather nice to have Boris in the field. He occasionally adds spice to races. I have a feeling this race will need it. How depressing – the Watkins Glen race in the final laps devolved into Squinty Douchey leading It who was ahead of Paul Menard. Hmm, I thought this was the Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen. Hard to determine that by the results. Once again cars created by teams with more money, driven by guys with more experience, beat guys who could really use the paycheck and the acclaim.
