Carl Long’s Long Sad Tale

Denny Hamlin’s refusal to pay his $25,000 fine for actions detrimental to stock car racing has many people thinking about Long’s punishment. Admittedly different circumstances – Long had an engine that was 0.17 cubic inches too large – Denny just purposefully did something that NASCAR advised the drivers not to do. 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Four Bristol

15osYN.St.158Earlier rain has washed the rubber off the track so we’re dealing with a green track again. There’s a chance of rain in the forecast. The skies are cloudy. The Nationwide Series had a green track yesterday after a morning rain. Kyle Busch, who, at 27, is the winningest driver in the Nationwide series, won the race yesterday.
