Cloudy at race time and there’s a chance of showers this afternoon. PRN has the radio broadcast for this race so I’ve muted the television and I’m listening to the pre-race show. I just can’t deal with Petty Kyle, Aggravating Adam Alexander and Wacky Wally. I believe this race marks the halfway point in the TNT season. Soon it will be over and we can get back to pros on the desk and no Larry McStats. I have to believe no one has ever explained to Larry McReynolds and Daniellle Trotta that you can use statistics to backup any side of an issue – so they don’t matter and they’re basically irrelevant. 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Fourteen Pocono
Rain, rain, go away! Its raining in the Poconos – AGAIN! So practice is a no go. The Cup cars are at Pocono. The Nationwide cars are at Iowa. Joey Logano is the only driver doing both of those races. The trucks are at Texas. Three races, three tracks in three states and we’re stuck watching The 10 and Race Hub. Seriously SPEEDTV? That’s just sorry. Occasionally we received updates from Adam Alexander, Larry Mc-Talk-Too-Much, and Wacky Wally Dallenbach. Eventually NASCAR called everything off for today including Cup practice and qualifying and ARCA practice and qualifying.
Congratulations to Trevor Bayne who tied the knot earlier this week.
Unfortunately the aired an episode of Race Hub. Continue reading “2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Fourteen Pocono”
2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Thirteen Dover
Darrell Wallace Jr. won his first NASCAR Truck Series pole. He became the youngest pole winner in the top three series. He led more than half of the race, before losing the lead to his boss Kyle Busch who went on to win the race.
Denny Hamlin won his second pole in a row. He looks ill. There was video of his stepping out of the hauler and his pain was obvious in the way he gingerly stepped down one-sided. Continue reading “2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Thirteen Dover”
2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Twelve Charlotte
Yesterday’s Nationwide Race was the usual Charlotte snoozefest with KyBu winning and Kasey placing second. KyBu basically ran away with the race.
Congrats to Tony Kanaan on FINALLY winning the Indianapolis 500!!! This is the 12th year he’s run it and he finally won! The race ended under caution, but he took over the lead on the restart and was able to finish in front.
Denny won the pole. The first eight drivers all broke the track record. This Gen6 car is fast. Continue reading “2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Twelve Charlotte”
2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Eleven point Five All-Star Race
As usual NASCAR threw in some changes to shake things up (read stop a repeat of Jimmie Johnson’s last win). This year the race was divided into four 20 lap segments, a mandatory pit stop then a 10 lap final segment. If any driver won all five segments he would receive a million dollar bonus. After the four segments the field enters the pits based on their average finishing order. Also to spice up qualifying they removed the speed limit on pit road. It made the mandatory pit stop rather amazing at times. Continue reading “2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Eleven point Five All-Star Race”
