Michigan has traditionally been one of my favorite races. I was very much looking forward to it after Dover, but since the Pocono race was so boring my enthusiasm has waned considerably. I hope I’m pleasantly surprised. The stages are 30-30-95 for this race.

‘It’ booted the Kyle Busch in the 18 spinning him out on the first lap going into the first turn of the race. Caution on lap 1 of 125. Seriously?!?!?! What a loser! His desperation is appalling. That’s ridiculous. I would ask what’s wrong with him, but everytime he opens his mouth he gives us a view of the pitiful state of his insides and the answers become a bit more clear. Sad, but true. Sun is shining as the race begins in Pocono. I have been looking forward to this race all week, but if the ARCA and Xfinity races are any indication, this will be a boring race. The stages are 50-50-60 for this race. I was hoping for a better race since some of my previous fave tracks have had better racing this season – some haven’t. I was hoping Pocono would. Congrats to Bubba Wallace on getting a Cup ride for the race. He’s subbing for the recovering Aric ‘Afterburner’ Almirola. Timothy Peters walked away from a horrendous crash in the truck series on Friday. TP has two races with MDM motorsports – Texas, this week, and Gateway, next week. Miles the Monster is hanging out under a blue sky with fluffy white clouds today. Looks to me like those clouds could gather and cause issues later. Kyle Busch will lead the field to green. He’s spent a great deal of the week listening to or talking about his dropping the mic during his media availability last weekend after the race. KyBu finished second and was less than pleased. In the TV and radio interview I heard he was frustrated and disappointed, but not acting in any way unusual. Before the television broadcast ended they showed him very disgruntled in the media center. He didn’t use abusive language, nor shout. He simply spoke in a manner which indicated his unhappiness though his words were benign. It left me wondering what was said to him to put him in that mood – since he hadn’t behaved like that earlier. There’s never been an answer to my question, but Kyle has been lambasted and discussed madly. He had to address it on Friday in his media availability. Poor guy. I couldn’t imagine having a very, very disappointing day at work, then being expected to speak about it – repeatedly – as though it wasn’t a crushing blow. He’s a professional – driver. He’s a practicing human being like the rest of us. A reality check seems to be needed in this situation and I’d still like to know what actually set him off. Congrats to Johnny Sauter on winning last night’s Truck Series race. Blue skies with fluffy clouds in Dover after a cool and cloudy start this morning. The stages are 60-60-80 for this race.
