Historically my favorite race – though the last few have left a bit to be desired. It has been an exciting weekend of racing so far. The ARCA series kicked things off with a bizarre action-filled race. For reasons beyond my understanding Chad Hackenbracht pushed Brandon McReynolds to the win. So Larry Mc’s spawn has his first ARCA win. I guess Chad Hackenbracht owed Larry Mc money. Debt paid, I hope. The race itself was really strange. Lots of wrecks and some strange wrecks. There were so many cautions throughout and the race itself was just strange. I love this series though. NASCAR 2012 Race 9 Richmond
Richmond – 3/4 mile – Night race. Okay. After a season full of boring races, and the tradition of boring night races, I expected more of the same of Richmond. It didn’t disappoint for the most part. NASCAR seemed to try to mix things up. Almost as soon as Mike Joy or Chris Myers mentioned the dearth of cautions this season a debris caution occurred. NASCAR 2012 – Race 7 – Texas
Night racing in Texas. The clouds were ominous, but the weather wasn’t expected until after midnight. The race was typical Texas. There were lots of long, green-flag runs, and not much else.
