After a tremendous rainstorm the track is dry and we are underway in Pocono. JPM (who won the pole) – Juan Pablo Montoya – and Denny Hamlin lead the field to green under partly sunny skies. More rain is off to the west so when this race will end is a big question mark for the field. Of course all of the rubber was washed off the track. There will be a competition caution at lap 20. NASCAR 2012 Week 18 Daytona
Kurt Busch won a mostly boring Nationwide race. The race was quite boring until about 20 laps to go. Then it got a lot more interesting with the front runners wrecking each other while trying to make a switch.
AJ Allmendinger has been suspended from NASCAR for failing a drug test – effective immediately. The 22 Team is scrambling to get Sam Hornish to Daytona to drive the car tonight! To quote the illustrious Keanu Reeves, WHOA! Continue reading “NASCAR 2012 Week 18 Daytona”
NASCAR 2012 Week 17 Kentucky
James Buescher won a chaotic truck race.
Austin Dillon went to victory circle in the Nationwide race.
Overall, a really BORING race. Kasey Kahne making a move at the end of the race brought a little excitement, but up to that point it was an extraordinarily BORING race.
Congrats to Bradley K. Continue reading “NASCAR 2012 Week 17 Kentucky”
NASCAR 2012 Week 16 Sonoma

Boring race. I literally fell asleep on it. I started out watching the race, but the TNT coverage was so appalling I switched to PRN’s broadcast. The PRN broadcast was enjoyable, but the race was boring.
The Nationwide guys were at Road America. Nelson Piquet Jr. won his first NASCAR events. Congrats to Nelson!
Overall it was not a memorable weekend in racing.

NASCAR 2012 Week 15 Michigan
O Thank God!!! RaceDay on Speed with DW, Kenny Wallace and Hammond!!!! A dream come true!!!! Why Oh Why can’t we have this combination weekly?????? I miss watching this show before each race with these guys telling me everything I need to know, getting me fired up for NASCAR Sunday. This seems to go against the SpeedTV plan of operations, but as a fan, it makes me so happy. Continue reading “NASCAR 2012 Week 15 Michigan”
