NASCAR 2012 Week 31 Charlotte Chase Race 5

Halfway through the Chase the Charlotte night race is on tap. It begins with a few crazy cautions, single car spins and the such, and ends with Clint Bowyer’s fuel mileage being better than Denny Hamlin’s. It was a sorry race – what has become the typical, boring, Charlotte night race. Brad ran it hard and fast and had to pit late for gas and ended up 11th and very disappointed. Denny played it safe, much to his chagrin and finished 2nd. Jimmie brought it home 3rd. Bunny was thrilled with Carl’s 7th place finish. Continue reading “NASCAR 2012 Week 31 Charlotte Chase Race 5”

NASCAR 2012 Week 30 Talladega Chase Race 4

Race Day dawns cloudy and breezy. The temperature has dropped a good 20-30 degrees. It’s ‘Dega Time!

Last night’s truck race was pretty good. I was surprised. The races have been so boring at my favorite track the past few years so I didn’t expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. There was action and surprises and in the end Parker Kligerman got his first truck series win! I was happy for him. Parker doesn’t have a grandfather who owns a NASCAR team, nor a father who works for the grandfather who owns a team. So it was quite a wonderful relief to have a driver who worked hard to get there get to victory lane on talent. Congrats Parker! Continue reading “NASCAR 2012 Week 30 Talladega Chase Race 4”

NASCAR 2012 Week 29 Dover Chase Race 3

It’s a beautiful day in the Dover neighborhood with bright blue skies. I’m not sure of the temperature, but it looks lovely. Brian Dawkins is the honorary grand marshal and is getting his jersey retired by the Philadelphia Eagles this evening. He seems to be having a good time and Martin Truex Jr is going to the game with him tonight and is wearing an Eagle’s helmet. This is being called his home track – there are a couple that get this nickname, but it appears this one if the one he considers his home track. NASCAR 2012 Week 27 Chicago Chase Race 1

Sunny and bright in Chicago…Sunny and bright in Atlanta…

Congrats to Ryan Blaney on making history with his 1st NASCAR Truck Series Win last night in Iowa.  18 year old Blaney became the youngest winner in the series.

Wendy Venturini is actually wearing a top that’s her size today on Race Day. Her pregnancy tops eventually became her size and her post-pregnancy tops were usually her size. There were such a difference from the earlier days when her overly tight tops and overly large boobs that appeared to be a boob job were distracting. Her boobs don’t look overly big right now. I wonder what’s going on. I don’t believe she was pregnant during the entire time when her boobs were the focus of almost every interview. Maybe it is just wearing a shirt her size. It really, really looks nice.  Good going Wendy V!  You’re my favorite female NASCAR reporter!  I love that you’re always improving!!  Now if you would teach the rest of them how to do it, you might eventually have some competition.  Maybe.  Eventually.  In the distant future.  You’re just head and shoulders above the others.  Especially those on your network!
