Tonight’s Nashville: The Story Regresses

nashville_logo_125You know the constant time shifts in the show are aggravating and disconcerting. It’s like the show is randomly doing reruns before its first run. What happened to going through a season then going through it again. If it were a good season to begin with fans would like to see it again. If non-fans missed it, that was intentional and they may intentionally do it again, or they may start watching it to catch up. I know, I know, ratings decree mixing it up so there isn’t a huge slump during reruns, but for someone trying to give the show a chance, this pattern is doing the opposite for me. The sad
thing for me is that I’ve never seen one of the episodes I missed in the re-run episodes. All of the re-runs have been episodes I’ve already seen that I’ve not wanted to see again.  This sux!  So thumbs down for this episode (I’ve Been Down That Road Before); aptly titled episode though…

2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Two Phoenix

20130303_victory_lane_edwards_575x459cCongratulations to Kyle Busch on his win in yesterday’s Nationwide Series Race at Phoenix. KyBu hasn’t won a Nationwide race in 24 races, so it was good to see him in victory lane. Of course since he led 142 of 200 laps he kinda stunk up the show. He had a slow pit stop and a pass through penalty, started at the back and still drove up through the field to re-take the lead. Masterful performance.

Myers says it’s an overcast day in the desert. Looked cloudy to me. I’m just saying. There’s a lot of attention on the Bowyer – Gordon affair last year at Phoenix and how it will affect today. Seriously! That’s history. Continue reading “2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Two Phoenix”

Tonight’s Nashville: Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

nashville_sountrack_album__cover265x265mcSigh. I watched Nashville tonight. Rayna is getting divorced. Deacon had a birthday and no one would allow him to spend the evening with ‘Ole Yeller’ on VHS. What’s a guy gotta do to do what he wants on his birthday?

Okay, Rayna’s kids are afraid of being in a giant SUV with camera flashes going off? I guess Rayna’s never been famous since she was cognizant. Rayna’s been cheated on by a lesser man. She kind of loved him, but really loved Deacon. So what’s the big deal? Continue reading “Tonight’s Nashville: Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww”

2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race One Daytona

06Vce2ocNZgds_575x459cErin Andrews, let’s don’t and say we did. She was ridiculous on pit road. 50 Cent seems to be having fun. James Franco seems extremely ‘not-in-the-mood’ for all of this. I wonder if he’s very hung over. He did his interview with Rutledge wearing huge sunglasses though its a cloudy day in Daytona.

I enjoyed the broadcast of the driver introductions, though I wish the camera work would’ve been more smooth and shown all of the drivers better. I love driver introductions.

Danica Patrick leads the field to the green flag. Jeff Gordon leads the first lap. Continue reading “2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race One Daytona”
