Sunny day in Chicagoland for the race. Congratulations to John Hunter Nemechek on his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win. Congratulations also to Joseph Nemechek and Nemco Racing. It’s great to see a small team do well. Qualifying was rained/stormed out on Friday so Kevin Harvick led them to the green flag. A spin on lap 2 by Denny Hamlin brings out a caution. 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Race Twenty-Five Darlington

After a lovely visit to the 10th Decatur Book Festival and totally yum pizza at Fellini’s I return home to the Cup race from Darlington. They were under caution when I walked into the room. I don’t know why. They were busy talking about all sorts of things, none of which seemed to be related to the caution. Oh well, maybe one day they will become a top notch broadcast team. I’m hoping Steve Letarte’s repetitive diarrhea of the mouth, Jeff Burton’s argumentativeness, and Rick Allen’s off-pace-calling are just growing pains that will resolve themselves. Praying For Justin

IndyCar-racer-Justin-Wilson-suffers-severe-head-injury-in-coma-after-Pocono-crash_Indy Car driver Justin Wilson is in a coma and in critical condition after sustaining a severe head injury during today’s race in Pocono. The nose cone of Sage Karam’s car hit Wilson in the head in the late stages of the race. Wilson was removed from his car and airlifted to an area hospital. My prayers go out for Justin and the Wilson family.
