Caution on lap 195 for debris. Mike Joy mentioned that Reed Sorenson cut down a tire several laps ago and it is apparently the source of the debris. As we’ve now been told, on lap 197, there’s a brake duct on the track that is the source of the debris.

Beautiful, clear blue sky day in Bristol this morning. I’m curious about the temperatures. It’s rather chilly here in the Atlanta metro area and quite breezy. Spring weather isn’t racing weather for me so far this season overall. They’re saying its going to be 70 degrees when racing starts. They only have a 5 mph wind. I’m watching The Masters and holding my breath for Danny Willett. He’s finished his round and is leading. He’s waiting for Jordan Spieth to finish who is the only person with a remote chance of catching him. If he birdie’s the rest of the holes he can tie Danny Willett. Rain delay for the Sprint Cup race. Rain moved through this afternoon or evening resulting in a two hour delay to the start of the race. It’s 60 degrees. I’d hate to be in those grandstands shivering. There will be a competition caution at lap 25.
At 20:30 central time the field is finally on the track doing the parade laps.

Nice night in Texas, 72 degrees with a partly cloudy sky. KyBu has the pole. I hope he won’t stink up the show as usual. Carl Edwards is the in the booth. Unfortunately he joins Adam Alexander and Michael Waltrip. FS1 desperately needs to hire quality NASCAR broadcasters. Race Day featured Danielle Trotta wearing an outfit that left her looking like she would be the center of attention and business on any street corner. Next to her was Larry McReynolds who has to be an embarrassment to Alabama, which is saying a lot considering some of the many embarrassments in Alabama, current and historic. When Kenny Wallace is the best the show has to offer – Kenny is fun, but no professional broadcaster/sportscaster – the show is in desperate need of some actual talent to frame Kenny’s fun.
