We’re in California today. It’s been raining throughout the weekend, so weepers are a possibility, but NASCAR is on the case and has already treated the course for weepers.
Kasey spun relatively early and broke his splitter, so he’s not a viable option.
Jimmie has led the most laps and with his 35th place finish last week, that’s a good thing.

2010 Daytona 500 Sunday
It’s a beautiful day here in Atlanta and in Daytona. Â The snow/ice is melting nicely here and not as cold in Daytona. Â The setup for the race was exciting. Â Carl said he spoke to Kate and she said she doesn’t feel like she’s going to have the baby today. Â He’s got Mike Wallace on standby, just in case.

Tim McGraw opened the show. Â He looked like Hank Williams Jr. Â I find that worrisome. Â And his performance was lackluster in my opinion.

Daytona Saturday
For the first time in recorded history, 49 of the 50 United States have snow on the ground. It started snowing yesterday during lunch and didn’t stop until sometime last night. And we’re not talking your typical Georgia dusting. This is how it looked when I got home from work yesterday.

Super Bowl Sunday (night after Bud Shoot Out)
The Indianapolis Colts are playing the New Orleans Saints in the Super Bowl. Â So far it’s been a pretty good game, but interestingly, I just don’t care. Â – UPDATE – The game is over and New Orleans won! Â And they deserved to win. Â They were down after half-time and they came back on the field and used an onside kick as their first play and got a touchdown. Â They win 31-17. Â Peyton got picked off and the Saints took that in for a touchdown. Â But the Colts didn’t play particularly bad overall. Â They Saints were just invigorated after coming back with the onside kick, recovering the ball and going on for a touchdown. Â NASCAR is underway!
