It’s Atlanta Saturday Spring 2009. I have my lovely new Macbook Pro setup with my lovely blog. I spent all morning attempting to get the admin password, because I couldn’t find it on the hard drive. I then discovered I could have it mailed to me, but I spent the rest of the time getting mail to work. Sendmail is not the default mail program on the Macbooks now – it’s postfix – and I’ve not used it in so long, I didn’t remember anything, other than that it was a pain to configure which is why I used to keep a standard configuration so I didn’t have to figure it out every time.
So on my to-do list this weekend:
1. Taxes
2. Laundry
3. Shopping
4. Watch the race from Atlanta
5. Relax!
I decided I really wasn’t in the mood to go to the race. While I had a marvelous time the last time, I wanted to wait until it was close to make sure the weather was good. It’s more than good – it’s great!
So, back to this. I decided to try to get my paperwork done for the latest iLife suite and found out I don’t know where my receipt is. I also found out my old version of Photoshop won’t work on the new computer. I installed the one from Paco, and it appeared to work, but when I opened it again, it gave me an error. I may have circumvented that issue – I hope so – we’ll see the next time I open it.
We went shopping for some things for Pooh for next week. She does the radioactive iodine treatment on Wednesday. It’s kinda crazy what she has to do – not contact with other people for three days, she has to throw away all unused food and use gloves to prepare food, etc. So we picked up some clothes, paper plates, paper bowls, and plastic utensils.
I’m a bit frustrated by the various things I can’t find and the paperwork still left to do. The truck race was okay, what I saw of it anyway. I’m looking forward to the cup race tomorrow. I’m exhausted, but drinking Gatorade instead of sleeping. I’ve been having night leg cramps in my arms, so I’m trying to kinda pump the gatorade.
I guess I should wash my hair tomorrow too. So much to do, so little time and seemingly not enough energy.
Time changes tonight, so it looks like this timestamp will probably be off by an hour. I say it’s 12:19am now.
