2025 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race Nineteen Darlington

Trucks in field: 32
Pole: Layne Riggs (34)
Outside Pole: Chandler Smith (38)
Stages: 45-45-57
Weather: Mostly sunny, 82°F, Feels like 93°, Feels like (shade) 81°, Wind NE 3 mph, Wind Gusts 5 mph

Second place Chandler Smith (38) smacks the outside wall on lap 11 of 147. He apparently lost a right front tire. The race stays green. Smith pits. He goes back out and loses another right front tire.

On lap 22 of 147 Kaden Honeycutt(52) is slow on the track and there’s smoke coming rom the front right of the truck. He pits as Matt Crafton (88) is leaving pit road.

Matt Mills (22) hits the wall on lap 22 of 147 after losing a right front tire.

The Caleb Costner (74) has a flat right rear on lap 24 of 147.

Ty Majeski (98) pits for a cut tire on lap 39 of 147.

Corey Heim (11) wins stage one 1.376/5.432 seconds ahead of second place.

Layne Riggs (34) wins stage two 0.628 seconds ahead of Corey Heim who managed to make up more than a second in one lap. He was 1.734 seconds behind Riggs on lap 89 of 147.

Leader Layne Riggs (34) hit the outside wall. According to Steve Post of MRN he said he went up high near the wall and didn’t realize the lack of grip up there, got into the fence and cut down a tire. Caden Honeycutt (52) goes around seconds later, bringing out the caution on lap 128 of 147.

Restarting on lap 133 of 147.

MRN reports the restart is under review. Corey LaJoie (77) will have to server a pass-thru penalty for a restart violation.

Gio Ruggiero hit the wall and heads to pit lane. The race stays green.

Corey Heim (11) easily wins. He finished 0.766 seconds ahead of Daniel Hemric () who was completely unable to gain any ground on him.

Boring. There was a tiny bit of racing occasionally, but mostly the usual watch Corey Heim in the superior truck drive away from the field as much and as often as he chooses. His only potential competitor, Layne Riggs, hit the wall near the end the event and took himself out of the race.

Congrats to Trevor Bayne (1) on a fifth place finish.

Corey LaJoie (77) will likely catch a lot of grief over his 20th place finish. He finished off the lead lap after serving the pass-thru penalty for the restart violation.

There seemed to be a larger than usual number of ‘visitors’ running today. I imagine that’s partially due to the Xfinity series race in Portland.

Layne Riggs (34) is blaming to himself for their 17th place finish. He says he’s most upset for his team who deserved a trophy today, but he threw it away.
