Larson said he couldn’t go with his “tires off the ground”. He said, “The 41 laid back and slammed the shit out of me.” The CW muted the audio after that statement.
The race was boring overall. The last restart and run to the finish was enjoyable. I hoped the caution wouldn’t come out, but thought it probably would based on what I saw of the tire wear throughout the event. Mayer’s attempt to utilize strategy on the final restart increased my excitement, as it set up the opportunity for a surprising outcome. I am bummed that Kyle Larson’s weekend sweep attempt was disrupted. I am totally thrilled Justin Allgaier won both the race and the Dash 4 Cash. The final laps were the best of the event. Boring event with an exciting finish and a satisfying conclusion.
