Caution is out at 1651.

You know it’s funny, the television broadcasts began using the split-screen because fans complained about constantly missing the action during commercial breaks. On lap 120 of 201 NBCSports showed oil covering the car camera from the incident on lap 53 of 201. They then have a two-panel split-screen that is showing what appears to be a wheel-well of a car and some other part of the car that was circled in yellow. What didn’t we see? The action on the racetrack. If they’re that bored, they might as well show commercials since they’re not showing racing. Then again, far too often during the broadcasts they should simply show full-screen commercials since they spend so much time showing so little of the race. During an average commercial break the audience is stuck with a view of a car’s bumper from the windshield of another car, or of a driving, in the dark, driving, or of the track surface and the door of a nearby car, or the view of the race from heaven – without binoculars. They feature totally useless video that does not allow the viewer to see the race action in any meaningful way.

PRN is getting excited about upcoming green flag pit stops because they’re basically driving around in circles with, seemingly, no actual racing occurring.

Daniel Hemric (10) pits on lap 139 of 201 for his green flag pit stops.

Sheldon Creed (2) pits on lap 140 of 201. Green flag pit stops continue as additional cars roll down pit road.

On lap 159 of 201 Riley Herbst (98) leads by 8.451 seconds.

The field is pretty spread out. On lap 197 of 201 Herbst is 14.816 seconds ahead of second position.

Riley Herbst (98) finally ends the boredom 14.959 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.

That was a total waste of time. A badly broadcasted nothing of an event.
