The final IndyCar Race of the season at Laguna Seca was enjoyable. Congratulations to Scott Dixon and coming back from a drive-thru penalty to win the race.

Novak Djokovic is playing Daniil Medvedev in the finals of the US Open so we’re watching tennis and listening to MRN’s call of the final 47 laps of the race. Sounds like it is a boring event like yesterday’s Xfinity series event.

Caution on lap 260 of 267 for debris from Chris Buescher (17) losing a right rear tire and being unable to get to pit road before the tire completely came apart.

Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson were part of a four-wide situation coming off pit road. Elliott door-slammed Larson in turn one.

Suarez stayed out. Erik Jones took two tires and won the race off pit road.

Restarting in overtime on lap 265 of 268 with Daniel Suarez (99) and Erik ‘EJ’ Jones (43) on the front row followed by, Joey Logano (22), and Kyle ‘KyBu’ Busch (8), followed by Tyler Reddick (45) and ‘Desperate’ Denny Hamlin (11).

Tyler ‘TyRed’ Reddick (45) wins.

Logano and EJ were battling door-to-door from the restart. Tyler took ’em three wide for the lead coming to the white flag and managed to hold everyone off for the win.

We watched the event from the time MRN announced Chris Buescher’s (17) tire issue. The final laps were worth watching. It was an exciting finish.

Kyle Larson (5) explained on the radio that he was trying to give Brad ‘It’ Keselowski (6) room to come out of his stall and they ran out of room four-wide causing him to bump his teammate Chase Elliott (9). He said he believes when they both see the replay Chase will understand what happened.
