It’s been raining in Vegas. Â So far everywhere the NASCAR boys go, rain seems to follow. Â The Nationwide guys have a green track and clouds are looming. Â The forecast for tomorrow is for sunny skies. Â Well this has been an eventful week. Â Bunny came home at the end of last week and left yesterday. Â So the week has been filled with taking care of errands – lots of shopping. We also went to Cat and Geri’s to play a great card game called Phase 10. It was a lot of fun. Work has been tough – busy, but long due to late nights. Now the weird thing is that I’ve suddenly developed hives. I suddenly started itching Wednesday night while Bunny was in Augusta. I put it down to drinking two bottles of Powerade during the day. When it happened again the next night I decided it might be stress and exhaustion. When it happened again 9am Friday morning I realized it was hives and most likely due to stress. It was so bad this morning I went to the Piedmont clinic in Brookhaven, only to discover it’s only open Monday through Friday. So, I picked up some more benadryl and gelled and had a capsule. Its tolerable; at best; at this point, but I’m hoping (wishing) for the best. If it’s no better tomorrow a trip to the doctor is in store.
Kelly Bires brought out a caution. Â Looks like his engine blew up. Â Michael McDowell just spun out for the second caution of the race with 17 laps completed. Â There was a 1.5 hour rain delay. Â The sun is shining but the clouds are hanging kinda heavy.
One of the kewl things I got during our shopping was a package of adapters for memory cards. Â Since this laptop has a weird memory card slot, it seems most of them won’t work, but the kit also included a USB reader which worked a charm. Â Now I don’t have to depend on my very very slow software transfer. Â That’s been just painful, so this will speed things up and I was able to put a couple of mp3s on easily also which I was only able to do once previously. Â I might also be time to create some new ringtones. Â The kit also included a bigger card . Â I’ll have to see if my phone will take the larger card. Â I seemed to remember reading that it wouldn’t, but I’m sure I can use it elsewhere.
Well looks like Michael McDowell spun again and Danica ran into him and tore her car up. Â Well having seen the replay it was a bit of a problem with Danica not knowing what Michael was doing – or trying to outdrive him or something. Â We’re 15 laps from halfway and there are rain showers on the radar heading toward the speedway it appears.
Caution is out at lap 105 of 200 for rain.
We’re back on with 90 laps to go. Â Michael took complete responsibility for the accident with Danica and went over and apologized and apologized on air. Â I’m enjoying Dr. Jerry Punch in the pits. Â He is doing a better job than most people in the pits.
Hives are one thing – but on the bottom of my feet too??? Â Yes. Â Okay enough with the complaining. Â They’re still running. Â Caution is out – Brian Scott just spun. Â Jason Radcliffe, Kyle Busch’s crew chief said the weather looks good so everybody is coming in for pit stops on this caution. Â
31 laps to go with another restart after a caution.  Denny Hamlin is leading right now.  Colin Braun spun around on the restart.  Caution is back out.  Steven Wallace tapped him in the back at the end of the turn taking Braun out.  All five rookies have crashed in this race today.  20 cars are on the lead lap as the wander around under caution.  25 laps to go and we’re on again.  Kyle just kissed the wall and in his opinion, they’re going backwards; they’re done.  No caution, he didn’t stop, but he is drifting backward.  Apparently the temperature has dropped at the track so lots of people are complaining about the cold – spotters in particular.  Kyle thought he’d damaged the nose and then the car wouldn’t turn putting him into the wall.  So now, with 14 laps to go he’s in 12th instead of battling for the lead as he was before hitting the wall.  Happy just took the white flag and is 1.4 seconds ahead of Denny Hamlin.  Happy Harvick Wins!  If I remember correctly this is his and Delana’s anniversary, so she gets a present, which she said she wanted something good.  I can’t remember if it was this week or last week.
