The race was busy with occasional crashes, but did not include much relevant racing for the lead. In the end it was pretty humdrum. I also realized the event would’ve been more interesting to me if I had positive feelings for most of the field. Generally I care if a handful of drivers in the field win. Since they’re fielding a full field frequently, that’s a really small percentage. Since most of those guys don’t have all the advantages money can buy I generally don’t have much interest in the outcome of the majority of races in the series. As a result the racing needs to be stunning. It isn’t. Those guys, overall, don’t have the skills. Some of the drivers with the skills, don’t have the financing. That combination creates a mediocre race.
